"The stars watch every step, hear every breath, and judge every act that we perform. I am but a vessel able to ask of them for their guidance- and it is up to I and those who heed me, to interpret their will."

Appearance

A quiet brook filled with flickering starlight under a moonless night. The peaceful breathing of a lover laying beside you. The soft touch of down on bare skin. These are images one could compare Seluria to; pure, calm, and serene.

Wrapped in gossamer, pale robes trimmed with gold, she is almost like a porcelain doll in some ways. Her movements are silent, and graceful, even when made to move quickly. The woman leaves little trace of her passage, but her presence is palpable when invoked.

The most notable feature, however, is not her complexion, nor her clothing- it is a large, golden headdress that lays heavy over her eyes. In the center of it is a large diamond or pale crystal of similar composition and appearance- shimmering in sunlight, and almost glowing a pale silver in moonlight. No one exactly knows how she can see with this in the way, but she seems to get by just fine despite it.

Skills and Abilities

Basic Training: Seluria, while thin and dainty looking, is not without knowledge of the basics to defend herself. Most of the time she will abstain from direct hand to hand or even ranged combat given her skills as a mage, however she does have some humble skills with a blade and bow alike, and uses her long robes and flowing movements to make it hard to land a strike upon her form in close quarters.

Star Seer: This is, to put it simply, the capability that Seluria is most known for. In another time, most may have thought her a simple fortune teller or witch. Yet, over the years as she grew among her companions and trained with them, some would find her muttering odd little phrases. Animals. Objects. Concepts and ideals. She would spend hours at night, simply staring up at the night sky. And when asked, she would simply look to the individual in question, and speak a strange metaphor... and in some way or another, it would come to pass.

Fortune teller. Prophet. Sooth sayer? No one knows quite what she is. Not even herself. And yet, she is content with it.

Cleansing Touch: Weaker curses and poisons find themselves contained and extricated. Stronger ones slowed in their descent upon the heart of the victim. However, this takes care, and focus from her, and requires she remain in contact with the individual to maintain the effect, as she must supersede most if not all of the patient's bodily functions in order to create a conscious benefit. If given the span of a night cycle, and a pool of clean water, Seluria has been known to either drastically weaken or remove even strong curses and poisons. It is a potent and powerful magic that has saved several lives, but it is not perhaps the most efficient method compared to others.

Brave Heart: Perhaps a particularly popular tool among her compatriots; Seluria is able to cut off all sense of pain in the target by slightly altering their perception of reality through the Loch, allowing them to perform acts that they may not otherwise have been able to. This is, of course, a double edged sword, as such an effect is highly addictive and can cause an individual to act more recklessly than they otherwise might. A lack of pain does not mean that you are immortal, after all.

As for other capabilities... well, they will show themselves in due time...

Personality

Seluria could safely be said to embody the term 'calm'. Despite the hazardous ways of the Knights, the woman holds an air of peace about herself as if she knows all that will come to pass, and how it will end and beyond. She is fond of her kinsmen in the Order, whether she has met them yet or not, and will often act with a gentle sense of familiarity. However, she is not the most comfortable individual in crowds, and will often stay near the edges of such, or prefer to linger with smaller numbers of individuals.

Where she truly thrives, however, is in the act of single minded research and focus upon a task that is noncombative in nature. As such, Seluria's specialties have found themselves honing upon the unravelling of curses and cleansing of various locations and objects as directed both by the Order and by the mysterious 'Stars' she will sometimes speak of.

Biography & Lore

Left in naught but a woven basket and blankets, the Knights found Seluria as a helpless babe with strangely pale skin and hair and an even stranger token from her missing family: a deck of cards depicting various star constellations.

She was raised as one of many in the order; a Squire to tail after the Knights, Mages, and Healers, taking upon their knowledge and care as her burdens with humble silence. And when she spoke, it was with eloquence. While not showing the same talents as many with the blade, Seluria would come to shine in the study of magic, rite, and ritual. And upon her coming of age, she was told of her origins, and gifted the odd deck of cards left behind by her family, having been kept safe by her adopted family until she was old enough to try to comprehend it.

It was after this that she became more studious than even before- turning the cards over and over and trying to understand the same questions that had plagued her teachers for so many years. And for her, the answer seemingly came one moonless night, after the candles had long since blown out, and the girl was found looking over the windowsill of her dorm to a pond far below.

Darting down the steps as if a thing possessed, Seluria would run to the edge of the pond, and stare deep into its reflective surface- as if it was not mud below but a fathomless beyond. And into this depth, she reached out- her hands, wrists, sinking elbows deep into the frozen waters, and from it she pulled an object that continues to baffle the mages of the Order to this day. Reflecting the starlight above, a strange headdress, like an upside down crown, with a gem set in its center as wide as a fist. A silvery white fabric flowing over and back from it like a mane.

She is never seen without it now- and since then, her powers have seemed to only have been amplified. Gifted by the Stars a treasure that allows her the point of presence to spread the peace of sleep and rest to the weary hearts who refuse to falter in their agonies. Even if however briefly.
