Biography & Lore

The Belmonte dynasty has been a reigning monarchy of an island of Aina O Ka La known as Dhy’Va vu ‘too since what seems like the beginning of time. This could possibly be because despite a majority of it’s population being nazrani or of nazrani descent, the reigning monarchs had always been a mixture of a long living human and Elf mix . This has always bothered the people of the island, considering the demographics and how Nazrani make up just about more than half of the island.

In fact, a protest led by a shaman of a native tribe during the previous King’s reign revolved around the issue of a non-nazrani ruling the island. Considering a majority of his laborers were nazrani, the king struck up a deal with the shaman and chief which betrothed their daughter and his heir. The result of this being the new and religiously praised princes and princesses of Dhy’Va vu ‘too.

Santana was the last of fourteen children yet she could be considered the most memorable. Her birth has not been determined but some say it was in the hut of the great shaman, who blessed her at birth and helped her ascend to immortality. She was given a formal royal name, Santana Bella Yu Eli Belmonte (Yu Eli deriving from her mother’s tribe name, Yuawa ‘Elyi Xi). She was born on the stormiest of all nights and it was believed by the Nazrani shaman that the child’s cries had caused it.

The nazrani folk would worship her as the goddess of storms and rain after her birth. Eventually, she would become the nazrani queen of dragons, however, that is a different story.

Santana had been her mother’s favorite of the fourteen and unlike many of her siblings, she often accompanied her mother to visit the nazrani tribe which inhabit the island. Therefore, she experience their worship firsthand.
