Wood elves always seem to be cloaked in the nature that surrounds them, more so than others of their overarching species. Their hair is typically of darker, earthen tones, ranging from a dark dirty blonde, to black. Their skin follows a similar trajectory, no longer the pale, ethereal stuff of myth, but warm and supple like the soil beneath one's feet. The most common eye coloration for a Wood elf is brown, amber, or hazel, but there have been known to be yellow or dark blue variations.

Physically, their movements and height are the same as the rest of their species. However, there are small differences in their muscle builds. This subspecies makes their home in the treetops, and their youth have been known to jump from tree to tree much like a monkey. Due to this, they have adapted to have thicker, stronger muscles in their thighs and shoulders to help them go from tree to tree and from the ground up.
