As a priest Thal would rather keep his distance as he is not skilled in close quarters combat.

Biography & Lore
Thalyarend, known to those who know him as Thal, is from a lesser house of High Citadel.
The lower houses were offen indistinguishable from the common folks, often they had once been a great house but due to miss management or through dubious circumstances they found their former glory had waned over time.
Thal always loved to go to the cathedral in High Citadel and hear the Priests and Priestesses preach their sermons. The Lord of Light had always warranted his praise and admiration. Soon he would abandon his families plans of becoming a merchant of Silks and Wine and devote himself to The All Father.
Thal longed to be a holy knight, and to eventually reach the rank of Paladin, but alas Thal was not gifted with the sword axe or hammer. His heart broke when they had announced that he would be an Acolyte.
Thal was very gifted in healing and defensive spells. All sparks had a purpose and this was the purpose The All Father set before him, who was he to question.
