Maveriel, or Mave for short, was born in the forest of Falwood. A vast land, she grew up in a southwestern section of the woods, in a settlement, a village a little smaller than a town.

A commoner in comparison, no noble house, her family name is Valthoras. She grew up keeping close to home, ranging and foraging, scouting the surrounding area, and does the same today—but beyond the trees.

Mave has since taken her blade and bow to the greater continent of Liadain. An explorer, but no mere adventurer, she ventures in search of, not treasure, but to help others. Her home is secure. What about the world, though?

Appearance

With a lithe and graceful figure, Mave's physique is typical for her elven species. A wood elf, yet whether her kindred elves sport shorter figures, she has a fair height with a light athletic build.

There are no other distinguishing features about her. As pristine as an elf is expected to be, pointed ears, naturally, with long fiery red hair.

Her eyes, however, can sometimes strike fear. They appear as bright amber oculars, but may burn like fire, especially when she is angered.

Skills and Abilities

Combat: Mave favors both arrow and blade, a trained archer, bow as curved as her blade
Healing: As a ranger of the forest and more, she knows how to survive alone with elven healing arts
Compassion: Unlike some, she doesn't look down on others, but seeks to actively help

Personality

Mave goes her way as a lone ranger, content with long moments of isolation between the trees or beyond them, in the plains, in the mountains.

However, one may not notice it of her where there are others. In a tavern, she is ready and willing to be mingling with strangers, a smile on her face, breaking bread, sharing drinks, exchanging in conversation.

For a woman like her, it often just depends on her given environment. As outgoing as she is, whether alone but not lonely, and ever friendly, Mave is prone to show great anger if the occasion calls for it. Yet, hers isn't rage; rather, it is sustained wrath.

She'll nock an arrow to a bowstring and calmly slay an enemy. Yet, if justice calls for her judgment, her enemies may face a more bitter end. Those who wickedly prey on the weak, for instance, are deserving of her punishment, she thinks.

Biography & Lore

In the woodland realm of Falwood, the largest forest in the known world, Maveriel Valthoras was born in the village of Lithrim, a modest settlement in the southwestern section of the forest, in between the edges and the center. A quiet people, a peaceful land, the elves here knew how to fend for themselves and maintained their peace through those means just as well.

Mave is a woman of three sisters, being in the middle, and was raised in much the same way by her mother and father. Trained in bow and blade, taught to write and paint, perhaps her main talent is in the way of the range. She served as a ranger for her people, scouting out around the lands surrounding, braving dangers, visiting distant settlements, bringing back home reports of swords and more.

With or without war, however, Mave was glad to go solo and live in the land, in the wild, all the while looking forward to returning to Lithrim. She would camp in the distance, sit by the firelight, fireflies as gliding lamps, and return to the light of her village's torches, their pyres, to spend the night in the tavern.

Today, Mave spends most of her time away from home. She has lived and accomplished a bit in the forest of Falwood, and seeks to see what else she can help with in the greater continent of Liadain. Bow, blade, she will go and range, not looking for conflict. Hers is the desire, not to fire arrows from bowstring, but to be of assistance in whatever little way she can be. She will only swing blade or loose a few arrows if the occasion calls for it.
