A two-handed longsword with the emblem of Reikhurst, the Golden Sun, adorning the crossguard. The blade is 42 inches long, and the grip 10 inches long.

Wreath of Light: When held aloft to the sky, the blade of the Gerechter Wächter becomes encapsulated by light magic, enabling the weapon to: strike foes which can only be affected by magic, slice through mundane armors with ease, and even parry some forms of magical projectiles/attacks. However, the effect can be dispelled, disrupted, or blocked by spells/items which deter or nullify or protect against magic (i.e. the sword with the Wreath activated would bounce off of a protective ward). The effect can be deactivated by holding the Wreathed blade aloft once again. The emblem of the Golden Sun must absorb sunlight to recharge the enchantment.

Legacy of Schulze: A secret effect, known only by the sword's blacksmith, enchanter, and King August Schulze himself. In a time of dire need, the effect can be called upon...but only by a descendant of the Schulze family.

King August Schulze, faced with the onslaught of Reikhurst's rival kingdom, Gothia, during the Great Gothic War, had for himself a weapon forged that would serve as a beacon to embolden his embattled soldiers and knights. Wielding the blade in the decisive battle which led to the end of the war, King August personally led his army with the Gerechter Wächter in hand. With it he cleaved through scores of Reikhurst's foes, and managed to capture the overconfident Gothic King.

With the Great Gothic War ended, King August retired the Gerechter Wächter from service. The fabled sword was laid to rest with him in his mausoleum upon his passing, and is guarded by Anhalt's strongest warriors and by a complex locking mechanism, the key to which having been created by August's wife and passed down among the eldest women of the Schulze family for generations.

The Gerechter Wächter rests now in the mausoleum which houses the body of King August Schulze, in his hometown of Anhalt, fifty-five miles from Reikhurst.
