Overview

The Apocryphal Conscious Activity Council is a flawed yet supernatural interpretation of how most species become sentient and gain consciousness. The consciousness remains a mystery ever since throughout the ages, even controversial when bringing up the Apocryphal Conscious Activity Council. Overtime, the Apocryphal Conscious Activity Council slowly stopped becoming a theory of the conscious and slowly becoming a supernatural phenomenon. A phenomenon where thoughts become stronger and even sentient.

Appearance

To simply put, they have no appearance. They only exist within the conscious to dictate species on their choices. Those that aren’t “compos mentis” will see their true form to put it lightly. The more insane the person is, the clearer and tangible these thoughts become. Hence, it’s speculated that’s how hallucinations and disembodied voices occur. These thoughts are hard to describe as some see them as very abstract or very surreal.

The Main Five Thoughts

Many sentient species have different thoughts and their appearance often varies. These thoughts can take the form of their worshiped deity or the angel and devil on their shoulders. It’s unknown how many thoughts a person can but those that are mentally stronger can have more thoughts. These new thoughts are made thanks to the mental strength of the person and have taken form based on their identity. As such, it’s not uncommon for anyone to have thoughts exclusive to them. OOC you can choose to make your own thoughts via sub accounts or imageclaim. The image can be used on your post or a different account. Just make sure to credit the image.

During the ages, studies have managed to point out the main 5 thoughts.

The Deus Ex Machina

Figure

It’s speculated that people saw this form as a harbinger of war back then.
It has existed in every species, sentient or not. It’s what gives instincts to every animal and fear to every race; it is ancient. It’s the machine made by the gods to solve our solution to answer the question: violence. An unspoken agreement to the mind and body, agreeing that everything is fragile but everyone around us must break before we do.

Figure

While minimalistic, she still retain as the paragon of primal instincts
Violence shouldn’t need be complicated. Take a look at revenge: simple but effective. You want someone dead because they tried to make you dead? Return the favor. End them. Kill them.
Deus Ex Machina exists in our nature: the fight-or-flight response. It’s the first to notify you if things are about to get ugly. It is the fear that lingers since childhood – The hysterical strength in life or death situations. It is the aggression that lets you fight to the death; the rage that blocks out all reason and releases the adrenaline. The fact you exist means Deus Ex Machina saw your own doom, gouged out doom’s eyes, put her mouth near the empty socket and said “No”.

Those with a strong connection to Deus Ex Machina see the world in a darker side. In turn, they wield superior strength, endurance and speed. Your adrenal glands are oversized and your senses ready, to ambush and physically maim your enemies. With weaker connections, there’s no sense of survival instinct. You don’t know danger even if it slices you in half. People who thrive on violence abhors you.

The Introspective

Figure

The form of The Introspective has been hard to interpret. This image is the clearest one.
The first encyclopedia; the first library for our information. When the world became smaller, it was because of Introspective. We see everything and learn it, realizing it’s not as dangerous as it seems. Why do our debates and arguments become so heated? Because many would crave for the emotional gain that they’re right even when faced against the facts that they’re wrong. It no longer matters who’s wrong but who’s in control of the argument. To compromise is to lose.

Figure

Once a heartless savant. Now has best of both worlds of intellect and psyche.
In due time, we lost our ways to define what our existence means. In some ways, the best answer is to keep on existing, so we can find love and prosper. Morality shouldn’t be disregarded over knowledge. It’s what piece problems together and makes our solution easier to obtain. With our problems comes from the fact we’re flawed. Errare humanum est as they say, even if you’re not human. When brought with so much knowledge, it comes with power, and comes with responsibility. With these, it’s better to build a bigger table than bigger walls.
The thoughts for the intellects and diplomats. It differs from the other thoughts that it’s two separate thoughts into one. Either way it depends on who’s who. A smart wizard feels their introspective blurts out all sorts of knowledge but their lack of empathy renders them unable to notice even the obvious social cue. An activist would feel all of the peoples struggles, letting them speak for the people but never have the knowledge to save them.

It’s possible to simultaneously have low and high Introspection. Those with a strong connection to Introspective are hyper sensitive to the little details. They can go on a tangent about the history of Cortos or rant about the insensitivity of the noble houses of Vel Anir if they’re in tune with their psyche. Those with weaker connections have a hard time understanding people or the world. It takes time for things to click, even if it’s in front of them. Like, can you even read this?

The Omnipresence

Figure

Observing all that happens, even outside of Arethil.
To think we come from god-fearing tribes yet we are still at the bottom. We are the bitch of planets as we orbit our master planet: the Lessat. Arethil cries out in the cosmology despite no one hearing it scream, “why does everything fucked me over”? All Arethil has become is a toy box for all the fauna and it made Arethil a big, bold, world. Instead of creating pantheons, the bitch planet lets us manifest our deities. And so here we are, where one watches over magic, another watches the story unfold.

Figure

Many have tried to play god. Now they’re the hands clenching to the remnants of the omnipresence.
Fools like us have questioned too much and try to defy this planet. Now forced to aid those in need of a story, we will remain outside the conscious yet guiding you till the very end. It’s much worth it in the long run rather than digging a deeper hole for only yourself to guide. Cynicism is the death of wisdom and many would know not learning from the past would doom to repeat itself.
The thought for the gods. It’s one of the most supernatural abilities out there. You can hear the string of fate and see the hand of gods. It’s the thought outside the body; seeing past mistakes repeat itself, and mysteries unfolded. Reality flows with your mind, keeping you predicting every incident, but who’s talking to you?

Those with high connection to Omnipresence will be ostracized from society. Being able to spot all the oddities and scenes unraveling itself before it happens. And the worst part is there’s nothing you can do about it. Those with low Omnipresence will have a hard time getting a slight clue on what’s going on with the world, let alone the main story. These are the guys that would ignore the dungeon masters as it heed these scared words: “Are you sure you want to do this?”

The Shepherd

Figure

The Scapegoat. The Villain. The Mastermind.
It can be invigorating. To dictate the story in your own perception and killing them at will. But that’s too easy after all. I’ve had my fair share with the herald but I still came out on top. All he wants is a logical story and what I want is make every idealist suffer for thinking they’re important to the story. This is my world and in my world, you mean nothing.

Figure

Even today, he still cruel. Mr. Cruel
Must be weird. Monitoring every story and I’ve yet to premiere. The thing is that they don’t know effort. I highly doubt they appreciate the story I’ll make. But I guess I need to be more “merciful” in my descriptions. So tell you what, I’ll give you hints about bending some rules and clue you in on some loopholes. I prefer my players to be engage and have an eye for detail.
The five main senses combined into thought. Made so that no detail go unnoticed and other times, no rule left unbroken. See, magic has a cost but that can be exploited with some economy or sacrifices. Time may not be stopped but it can be folded and fabricated. What about the trap you just saw? That could be of use.

Those with strong connections with The Shepherd will be overwhelmed with every minutiae of detail, from the basic look to the meta knowledge. It can also let’s others see if they’re lying or being outwitted. Those with low connections with The Shepherd are gonna miss out on most things. Sure, you can still use you five sense but, where’s the fun in that if there’s no deeper context.
