Samson "Big Bear" Asbjorn is a Burly Bear Shaman from Nordengaard. He believes in the " Bear Spirit " -- One who gives mighty strength to all who are worthy. He believes that his size was a gift so that all may know Bear's Might. Samson travels with his Bear companion, Henry, everywhere he goes. He devotes himself to "Bear" by embracing her ways and spreading her wisdom. All who stand before him will remember his name, know his strength, and hear his words.
Appearance
Samson is Burly and Broad in every meaning of the words. His height, hairy body, and endless stomach is a few reasons why he has the nickname "Big Bear". His body isn't soft like most, it's rough like dry Elephant skin. This is because of a Callus type of skin condition, making his skin thicker and tougher than usual. All of the muscles in Samson's body are tougher than the average person because of his size and skin condition. His bones are like iron as well in order to deal with his thick skin. In his Svalen form, Samson becomes even more powerful than he already was.

Samson's Height - Samson stands 9 feet tall so the average human will stand at his waist or under his chest. Because of his size, His body is sturdier and more tolerant than most like him. With his Armor and thick robes, Samson is extremely hard to put down with just physical force by itself. His natural physical strength will overwhelm most people he come in contact with. He isn't the fastest, but his senses are great. When he works together with his Bear companion, He can make it hard for his foes to get close.
Samson's Armor & Robes - Samson made sure that his armor would protect his great size. His armor is covered with thick mink robes and other Kevlar-like fabric. Sharp objects can't cut through his clothes easily. Only fine crafted weapons can cut his robes. Even his pants are made out of the same material. This helps in cold weather as well.
Samson's Naginata - Samson walks with a massive naginata that is longer than him. With his strength, He can flip his weapon around like a windmill. It weighs a lot for those with average strength, but not for Samson. When he swings his weapon around as fast as possible air pressure can get intense. When he uses his full strength, He can cut through cloth or leather armor material easily. Metal armor is harder to cut but it is possible if you make him angry.
Samson's Sword and Dagger - Samson carries a sword and a dagger just in case he needs it. Those who are faster than him will meet his sword or his dagger. He pulls these weapons out when you least expect it at times. He tries to catch people off guard that focus too much on his Naginata. His Sword is long for an average human but small in his hands. It gives him a fair amount of reach when he needs it. He uses his dagger for those that decide to grab him or if he wants to be discreet.

Combat: Samson learned how to fight at a young age. All Norden are great fighters at a young age. The difference is Samson's size and strength. He could do things physically that others couldn't when he was just a Teen. Normal combat for teens wasn't much to look at, but Samson wasn't normal. His physical tolerances and mighty strength drew crowds. When he reached an adult age, His combat skill was extraordinary. He learned to wield the Naginata when he was young as well. He started off with just long sticks but eventually upgraded to an average Naginata. When he mastered the weapon, He had one crafted for him to best suit his size. Samson has always been overwhelming physically if you fought him up close.

Samson's Bare Strength & Callus Layered Skin - With his bare hands, He can dent armor and crush ribs. His physical strength is amazing but his fist is even greater. His skin is rough but his hands feel far rougher. His callus layered hands allow him to crush and bash things without feeling any pain. Even if you cut his hands, He wouldn't draw blood because of the layer of thickness on his skin. His entire body is harder to cut than most because of his skin condition. With his abnormal physical strength, His skin condition allows him to deal heavy damage without pain and resist more than usual.
Naginata & Guandao Fighting Style - Samson can use both of these styles of combat in battle. He fights like Jiang Jun from For Honor mostly. He uses all the same skills but also uses his own freestyle form as well. He specializes in group fights and keeping people at bay. Because he is large in size, He knows people smaller than him can take advantage. He knew at a young age that this way of fighting feels comfortable against all foes.

Magic: Samson has been drawn to nature since he was young. He devoted himself to being a "Bear Shaman" using Druidic Magic and transforming into his Svalen form when angry. He doesn't know everything about the ways of Nature but he uses it to give him a slight edge in battle. He can manipulate Nature in the area to aid him or others in battle. He can use Plant life to heal small wounds and restrain enemies. In the cold, He can manipulate the roots from rocks and trees. He can only manipulate what's around him. Powerful Mages outclass Samson in terms of power. He didn't get to master it because of the snowy mountains. This didn't stop him from learning small tricks whenever plant life was nearby. The most dangerous power in his arsenal is his Svalen form though. Transforming turns him into a Massive Beast of Rage and Power.
Svalen Form - When Samson is angry, He becomes a Massive Bear with insane strength. His natural Stamina is high but he lacks speed. When he transforms, His stamina is greater and so is his speed. He isn't as fast as the others, but his speed is great for his size. His great strength is so immense when he transforms -- he can shatter armor and even the earth under his feet at full strength. His claws can cut armor like butter as well. His senses become even more potent. He can smell the slightest drop of blood or hear the slightest footstep. It can be used to annoy him in battle but it isn't always smart. His skin condition makes his Svalen form even more durable. The natural pain tolerance of this Beastly form, His skin condition, and his thick fur will make it hard for any to do any damage. One of the pictures below shows the height of a tall male Nordenfiir compared to Samson's Svalen form. He can be beaten like anyone else, but he won't go down easily.

Henry The Bear - Henry is a massive grizzly bear that Samson met during his "Taking of the Path". This Massive Bear is an Alpha Male capable of overwhelming even his own kind. When Samson first met his Bear companion, any time he was spotted by others, Henry was able to fight off other Nordenfiir and even those in their Svalen forms. Because of these battles, He has many wounds and bruises. Instead of holding him back, His battle scars made him tough. On all fours, Henry is 6'0" from Head to Toe. When he stands, He can reach 11'0". Samson's druid magic allows him to communicate with animals of all kind. Because of this, He can communicate with Henry like no other can. Their relationship is similar to Groot & Rocket from Guardians of the Galaxy. His spiritual connection to Nature can be manipulated to merge with his Bear companion. Samson's body turns into nature energy when he merges. This merge makes Henry even bigger and stronger than he already is. In this form, He is 7'0" on all fours and 12'0" when standing. Downside is that Samson loses weight fast and sweats a lot if he uses any of his transformations for too long. He has to maintain a certain weight or he'll have health problems. He needs plenty of food and rest to recover properly. He usually gains his weight and health back in a day or two of nonstop eating. Samson can eat for several hours straight without taking a breath. Samson and Henry together can consume almost 200 pounds of food per day. Samson can eat twice as much food as the average human can consume in a day. Henry can consume twice as much as a Kodiak Bear.

Personality
Samson is a loud but friendly giant compared to most Norden. He tries to treat everyone with respect for the most part. He loves to tell tales of his adventures and speak about the Great Bear spirit. He believes in a Bear of All Bears -- A Mother Bear -- who gives those who are worthy mighty strength to overcome all odds. He believes that this Bear spirit is the reason why Norden can shapeshift and why they are gifted physically. He is the kindest Norden you will ever meet until he is angered. When he is mad, He can be hard to beat.
