A quiet night in Vel Acan, 16 years prior, Sabrina was born under a rare celestial event- a shower of stars shooting across a midnight sky. Her parents, Eliana and Caelestis, were scholars amongst the dreadlord retirees. Powerless, but essential to maintain the history of the city. In that night, they believed Sabrina to be blessed by the stars and touched by their magic. There was no doubt in their minds- she would be gifted.

As she grew, her parents wound find that they were correct as it appeared Sabrina possessed some natural affinity for the night sky. Many moons, they would catch the child staring into the sky as if she were communicating directly with the stars. Few years passed before strange occurrences began. Sabrina, in her glittering glory, was bright enough to illuminate their one room home. That was the beginning of it all.

Soon after, they would find Sabrina flickering in and out of existence, sparkling shadows that looked made of the night sky surrounding her. And strange...strange otherworldly voices all around.

Fearful of their daughters burgeoning powers, Eliana and Caelestis sought help from the locals- the retired dreadlords of Vel Anir who all but haunted the seaside city. And then one night, while they slept, Sabrina was taken from her home. Taken directly to the Dreadlord Academy.

Most students grew cold, angry and distant when they joined. But Sabrina never lost her kindness. A truly beautiful soul amongst hatred. She would never become like them.
