The frown she wears has become somewhat of a habit born of her efforts to appear more fierce than she felt when she found herself alone in the world. A beauty like her mother, her features are soft, her skin fair and her curled hair a dark red, most often braided for training and battle. When not in her armour, her clothes are simple, and she wears no sign of her inherent wealth.

The niece of the King of Vel Anir, Aurora's life was pre-written. She learned to be polite, quiet and obedient and to be as perfect a Lady as she could be for whatever suitor her parents deemed worthy enough to win her hand in marriage. She was married off at eighteen years old, despite her own reservations. Her husband took her far from her home, and he was far from kind.

She suffered at the hands of her husband for over three years before she was able to flee with her sister-in-law who helped her settle into a small village and a new life.
