Rooney can change her personality just like she can change her appearance. She is not even sure what her true self is at this point. She just knows that there is an underlying sadness that is always there. Maybe that is part of the real her?

Rooney made the mistake of joining a criminal organization as a teenager. They paid her well and taught her how to con and kill. They made her a monster. She loved her life and had no issues until she met a man at the age of thirty.

He was a good and kind man. He loved Rooney more than the world itself and they secretly wed only months after meeting. Rooney knew she could not tell him about her job so she kept the two apart from each other. He never knew…or at least he never let on that he knew.

When Rooney was thirty-two, she found out she was pregnant. It was time to start a new life. She could no longer work for her criminal bosses. The only way she could leave was in a body bag but she had made them mad and embarrassed them by running. They sent an assassin to kill her husband and kidnap her newborn daughter as insurance to keep their best asset in the field. It was a torture inflicted that would show Rooney who was in charge of her life.

It has been three years and Rooney is a faithful little slave. Her daughter is being raised by the boss and his wife as their own and she is safe as long as Rooney does what she is supposed to. She has seen her daughter a handful of times…usually when she started to get rebellious. The boss would make sure that his wife brought their daughter to lunch or just to pop in.

Rooney has resigned to the fact that she will never be free and she will never have her daughter to raise. The only thing she can do is make sure her daughter stays alive.
