Young and arrogant, Rhybus still has a lot to learn about the world. He is inexperienced in both combat and hunting, but has no small amount of enthusiasm. There is little doubt he will grow to be quite a large and impressive male in time, but for the moment he is an awkward teenager

Rhybus is a deep black, with luminous orange eyes. Copper freckles are smattered along his cheeks and the webs of his wings. Like his father before him he sports an impressive crest along the back of his head that curls up toward his nose. Two horns sprout on the thorny armor above his eyes, and he possesses a thick outcropping of bone along the top of his muzzle. He, like most dragons, hasn’t filled out yet on the onset of puberty. His ears hang down and slightly behind his neck frill. They have a limited range of motion but are always drawn back to express himself or protect them during combat. His talons are hooked, like that of an eagle, indicating his kind are drawn to high-altitude areas. As Rhybus flies, he does so in a sinusoidal wave. His winged arms lead the charge, giving him the impression of a waving, triangular ribbon from below.


In human form Rhybus has a surprisingly narrow face, though his nose is rather aquiline. His eyes are narrow, as though he is constantly scrutinizing something, and deep set. A pair of surprisingly animated eyebrows give him a nasty glare. His narrow muscular frame promises to fill out into a man of much larger stature. A mop of black hair adorns his head, often unkept and cut as though he had found rusty shears on the street. Rhybus, though he gives the impression of a carefree bad boy, wears this appearance as much as armor as anything else. Inside he is a young and scared creature unsure about the world or his place in it.

A Life Ablaze: Rhybus has a talent for making superheated orange flames. As such he is sensitive to temperature, but immune to fire. He would be happiest sleeping in magma, and snow would put him in a foul mood.

Just Starting Life: As a teenager, Rhybus is inexperienced in the world. His confidence wasn’t won honestly, and he throws his weight around far too often. He has a poor temper, and is quick to anger. Unfortunately, this translates into bad control of his natural Magic’s. He is often burning hot to the touch.

Flighty: Despite his mercurial nature, Rhybus is at home in the sky. His unique undulating wings allow him greater dexterity and hovering ability than most dragons. By holding them out and with a decent thermal, he can even sleep midair.

Voracious Appetite: Rhybus’ body is growing at an alarming rate, meaning he will eat just about anything. His metabolism is high, geared toward building muscle and strength.

Rhybus is young and arrogant. He is full of a need to prove himself as a dragon, and feels constant pressure to grow and fill his mother’s legacy. Like any teenager he struggles with body issues, attractions, and the social rules of the world. This could either make him a dangerous killer or mature him into a confident adult. Time will only tell.
