Ressver Gildenblade
Ressver, by all intents, fits the bill of a purposeless human. Even at his young age, he is weary - troubled by his youth and his creed. His brow is stained with the dirt and sweat of a hard day's work; his eyes flecked with the presence of ghosts that cast him regularly into dissociative, blank stares. Ressver may be without purpose, but he still holds fast to hope.
Appearance
Ressver often wears his shaggy hair in a high, pointy ponytail. He bears a small scar on the left of his upper lip and his eyebrows are scarred up gently. He isn't built or wide, instead having a lithe body with untoned but very present musculature. His clothes are rough spun but maintained nonetheless, his favorite shirt being a dull forest green linen which he pairs with chestnut trousers and tall, black boots.
Skills and Abilities
Halfway proficient in blacksmithing and adept in swordplay. Ever so slightly in tune with arcane frequencies.
Personality
Ressver typically dons a low-energy, very dry air of joviality. He's quick with a joke, as melancholic as he'll deliver it. He is slow to anger and slower to violence, choosing the power of discussion to the brutality of combat. At times, Ressver clams up and becomes quiet; his eyes glazed over as he enters a thousand-yard stare.
Biography & Lore
The Story So Far ;
Ressver Gildenblade, a newer local to The Outer City whose past remains close to the chest. He arrived in Alliria some five years ago, spending the first three and a half on the streets and tent-surfing in the Slums. Life was hard then and his belly always crying - but this compared only to a bad dream to Ressver. All this young boy had to his name was an illustrious sword of unknown make and a companion scabbard. He has never been seen unsheathing it. He stumbled his way into The Outer City by chance, and by chance, too, did he meet an elderly blacksmith running a small forge on the outskirts of the fair municipality. The blacksmith offered a home and steady work; the young man couldn't refuse. And so, he has spent the last year and a half tending the forge and acting as the blacksmith's ward and helper. The smith even gave Ressver a surname - something he never had - Gildenblade.
