Ratha is a mage risen from death, murdered for who and what she was. Given the gift of life once more, albeit as undead, she searches for those who wronged her to exact bloody vengeance. This sets her at odds with the Autumn Court, but that's the least of her concerns.

Appearance

Tall and lithe with pale skin and paler hair, Ratha's distinctive trait is the decorative mask across where her eyes once were. She often wears the dresses and robes she enjoyed in life, albeit now in far darker colors.

Skills and Abilities

Once partial to 'white' magic, healing and shielding, Ratha has forsaken the arcane arts she once professed. Now, she focuses on more destructive facets; fire, ice, lightning, and more. Outside her magical abilities, she is an excellent cook, a proficient seamstress, and, if rumors are true, quite good at chess.

Personality

Cold, aloof, and hiding a roiling anger beneath a pale, icy mask, Ratha is a far cry from the warmth and kindness she exhibited when alive. She is now a being of revenge where the ends justify the means.

Biography & Lore

Ratha was a renowned healer in life, known throughout the local villages of the region for her skills and magic. It was her great luck, or perhaps misfortune, to fall deeply in love with a human man. They spent many years together, though childless, as she plied her trade and he plied his as an artisan, before tragedy struck.

Bandits struck the town as night fell, burning and looting their way from home to home. Startled awake by the attack, Ratha's husband was cut down before her very eyes only to see them turn on her next. Her torment was mercifully cut short, but not before the cruelest of the band gouged out her eyes as a trophy and left her to bleed out. Unable to see and too weak to summon her healing magic, much less call out for help, Ratha died of blood loss in the grass before her home. She was found by her kin days later as they followed the smoke and laid to rest alone, for her husband's body was unrecoverable, burned by the flames that engulfed their home.

Some time later, she was exhumed and her soul bound to her body. Weakened magically and still reeling from the atrocities visited upon her and her beloved, she swore terrible vengeance upon those who had committed such terrible acts, no matter the cost
