Radu Basarab
"Vae victis--woe to the conquered!"
Appearance
"The creature stands tall and imposing, its form encased in what could be either highly advanced armor or perhaps its own natural exoskeleton. The body is sleek yet muscular, with segmented plating that follows the contours of a humanoid shape. Every surface seems to flow into the next with an almost organic quality, as if the armor is living tissue rather than forged metal.
Most striking is the helmet, smooth and featureless save for a narrow visor that reveals only a glimpse of what lies beneath. In the first image, a single pale eye peers through, cold and calculating. The second rendering shows that same mask in profile, the design both elegant and unsettling.
Massive wings extend from its back, dark and membranous, giving the figure an almost angelic silhouette corrupted into something far more sinister. The hands taper into elongated, claw-like fingers, suggesting this being is as much predator as it is warrior."

Skills and Abilities
"Aye, the dead-walkers... they ain't like other foes. Fought 'em plenty, and they put a chill in a man's bones that no living enemy can. Something about those rotting corpses coming at you that turns even the stoutest heart to water. Fear's what kills you in battle, and the undead - they know how to bring it."

✥ Supernaturally enhanced physical attributes, courtesy of his transformation at the hands of dark ones. He's stronger, faster and more durable than what standard human physiology would allow him to be based on his size, build and biological limitations rendered unto a human sized, humanoid mammalian creature.
✥ Heightened resilience to damage, rendering him hard to kill (unless his brain is sufficiently damaged, or divorced from the rest of his body). His unique physiology makes it so that he's highly resistant, if not outright immune to toxins and microbial pathogens.
✥ Lore of Undeath: He's an adept necromancer and knows just about everything there is to know about death magic. This sorcery is a versatile tool, but comes with a terrible cost of either destroying or corrupting all it comes into contact with. It is, by all accounts, an anathema to life itself. Standard necromantic spells include raising the dead, communicating with the dead, controlling the dead (usually limited by the number of available corpses and magical energy in the are, unintelligent undead are easy to raise but have to be puppeteered by the necromancer, intelligent undead do not require constant attention but are harder to make), rotting/decaying/eroding organic and inorganic matter, inflicting living beings with magical diseases/debuffs (usually proximity determined, if the afflicted gets out of the spells effective range, the debuff disappears), growing construct's of various shapes and sizes by solidifying raw death magic (magical cost varies depending on the shape, size and complexity of the construct), etc.
✥Satisfactory level of knowledge partaining to alchemy and other esoteric sciences. Well versed in anatomy and biology.
-Anything harmful to the dark ones and their spawn, since he counts as one of the latter. This, for the most part, boils down to magic. Magic isn't kryptonite for him, but it'll hurt him worse than simply trying to squash, chop or perforate him to death with normal weapons (naturally, it's harder for him to defend himself from something like extreme heat, cold and various exotic spells in the grounds that making oneself durable against getting bonked on the head with a big blunt object is significantly less complicated than making ones own flesh less susceptible to magically conjured acids...or spells that make your blood boil, or blow up your internal organs).
-Inability to regenerate on his own. Due to his bodily physiology, he's incapable of healing any injury without ripping life-force out of another living creature (which can be done by either eating them or absorbing their essence through necromancy). So, while difficult to kill (in a very zombie-like fashion), he possesses zero regenerative abilities of his own.
-He must consume vast quantities of fresh meat to sustain himself, never stopping at the flesh alone but gnawing through bone and cartilage as well. Just as vital is his appetite for magic, which he draws in through his skin or by ingesting the vital organs of magical creatures. This nourishment is no mere indulgence, it is the lifeblood that sustains the supernatural machinery of his body, keeping the otherworldly parts of his being from collapsing into ruin. As long as these two criteria are met, he can neither grow old or sick.
-He's naturally attracted to places where the basest of emotions have been scorched into the fabric of reality by terrible suffering: on battlefields where ancient hatreds are remembered; in plague pits, where horror and fear cloak the ground; in abandoned graveyards, where the mourning of forgotten spirits is borne by chill winds. It is there that Radu can tap into the residual dark magic and use it to raise the dead to life.
