Otto "Off-the-Wall" Westbrooke
"Now Captain, come on! What's the worst that could happen? It's only a little acid!"
Appearance
O.T.W is a tall, yet skinny- dare he be called bony, even -brown Kestrel-Aviokin. That being a birdperson. This is not the product of a curse or polymorphism, but rather his actual species. He has two bird-like legs, two arms, similar to the legs however somewhat more dextrous, a pair of wings from his back, a Kestrel head, and a feathery tail. Most of his body is covered in feathers, be them proper feathers or a slightly softer, more downy type, and his legs from the knee down and arms from the elbow down have yellow-gold scales just like a bird's legs. His toes and fingers all have sharp talons.
O.T.W wears a trio of close-fitting, firmly wrapped blue tunics of various shades tucked into a pair of tight, tan knee-length trewes, to keep his body at the right temperature, and overall protected from his kit layers. Over these are multitudes of leather straps for small pouches and hangers for vials and bottles of all sorts, as well as the straps that hold on his shoulder and knee protection. On his head he wears a dark brown leather cap with sheepskin lining, and a pair of crystal clear goggles to cut glare and windblow, without highly reducing his sensitive vision. He has a pair of lightweight fingerless gloves on his hands, and frequently has lightweight shinguards and foot-guards as well.
When out of full Knight kit, he often strips to the lowest tunic and his tan trewes, and a couple of pouches for small, sundry necessities or knick-knacks.

Skills and Abilities
Melee - Short
O.T.W's favourite weapon of choice, and the one he has the most skill with, is his sharpened climbing pickaxe, which he swings maddeningly, as though he's trying to slay a particularly ferocious fly coming after his head. He usually uses it one-handed, so he can throw or grapple with his other hand, but he isn't shy of grabbing it with both scaly hands and taking a batting stance. If knocked unarmed, O.T.W uses the sharp talons on his fingers and toes, and his beak to grab and peck.
Melee - Long
Foolhardy and seemingly lacking self-preservation, O.T.W loves to divebomb, flying to a great height and going into a freefall nosedive, swooping at the last second to grab an enemy with his feet and go back up again, frequently to the peril of said enemy, and occasionally to his own peril if he doesn't pull up in time. He's not very skilled with polearms, but he'll grab one in a pinch, often using the same "swing wildly" technique as with his pickaxe.
Archery
O.T.W can loose an arrow like nobody's business... In the right direction, while on the ground. While he has a very keen eye to aim on the calm, stress-free target practice field, he isn't the greatest on the field in the midst of danger. He is good enough to assist in sending volleys of arrows, where aiming isn't the goal, however.
Misc.
O.T.W loves throwing various types of potion bottles and other, often more random objects. He's got a considerably good aim, especially compared to his archery, for throwing and dropping things like bottles of acid and jars of hot tar or boiling water, and hucking fist-sized rocks. Aerial stunts with dangerous alchemical compounds or otherwise nasty things make up another part of his scary game of skyward thrills.
Magic
Well he's gotta have a little of it, or how else would he be doing all that wonderful stuff in the forge and around the infirmary lab?
Sanctum and Pursuit
O.T.W is of the Dawn Sanctum.
Pursuit of the Flame
Yeah, it's probably a bad idea to let the man around any source of fire, but where would he even be without Flame?
-
-
-
Pursuit of Wild
O.T.W is about as wild as Wild can get, literally.
-
-
Pursuit of Life
Life is a good one, a great one even! It's patched up O.T.W more times than the man can count on all his flight feathers.
-
-
Pursuit of the Loch
Loch is a tricky one for O.T.W, he isn't overly skilled in it's use, but it certainly makes use of him.
- Recognition of Loch magic in most cases, and the ability to see Tobi, a mostly-unseen creature variously identified as either a "furball," or "weasel." Based on certain descriptions, Tobi is either a small terrier, or an otter.
Pursuit of Death
Death magic tends to give O.T.W the willies, but it being necessary, he'll tolerate it in stride.
- Recognition of Death pursuit magic, if by nothing other than the chill up his spine and the raising of his feathers. Otherwise, not much else.
