Orvik is a relatively standard man of Eretejva; he has a warrior's stature and demeanor, with long blonde hair and brilliant blue eyes. Wrinkles have begun to form at the edges of his eyes, but any other wrinkles are hidden by bushy eyebrows and a thick, long beard. Small flecks of gray have begun to form in the hair under his helmet, but he rarely takes it off. A distinct smell of sweat and dirt masks the normally musky and earthen aroma that surrounds most Nordenfiir. Orvik rarely bathes and even more rarely washes his clothes. He wears heavy wool clothes to survive in the frigid Eretejvan tundra's temperatures, along with thick mail, gambeson, and furs to protect himself against the tundra's other dangers. The glyph that marks him as a Nordenfiir who has passed the rite of passage is on the back of his neck hidden under his long hair, but it has become faded and somewhat defaced.

Orvik is a large man, and carries himself as such -- his entire presence is larger than life. He laughs loudly, eats and drinks loads, and lives big. Compared to most Norden, Orvik is extremely welcoming and amiable, often going out of his way to be friendly to others. But when the goings get tough, the tough get going. When threatened or provoked, Orvik becomes as cold as his homeland and is brutally efficient when dealing with his foes.

Jesper is a prodigiously large grizzly bear and is Orvik's 'best friend'. The bear acts as Orvik's mount and companion, and they have an uncanny knack for understanding each other despite Jesper being... well... a bear. Jesper is an excellent judge of character and loves hot springs.
