Guide
At ChroniclesRP we love and share in the creation of new fantastic stories and locations. However, to keep our Wiki organized and to keep from being overrun we ask that before you submit a new location you first RP it. This will not only help flesh out your creation, but will also allow people a better view into the small piece of your story you are creating.
You can add a summary of your Location in a paragraph here. The following list provides the key details, but can also be provided in the settlement infobox (add link)
You can add a summary of your Location in a paragraph here. The following list provides the key details, but can also be provided in the settlement infobox (add link)
- Name: (What is the name of your Location? What do people call it?)
- Location: (Where is this located? Please look at our map and give us a general area according to that.)
- Type: (What is this place? Is a Graveyard? A broken old Fortress? A monument? The site of a massive battle? Let us know here)
Appearance
(As one might expect the appearance of a Landmark is almost as important as what the landmark itself represents.
This section should be utilized to describe exactly what your Location looks like. Describe to us in detail just what this place is, what it has, and how it appears to anyone passing through. Remember that a Landmark is not necessarily made by the hands of sentient beings, and things can be natural or composed of mined stone or even metal.
It is important to get across just what you’re trying to convey when someone arrives within this area. If you want your location to be dark and gloomy lean into that, if you want your location to be bright and a place of peace then use this section to enable that. It’s important to describe just what you’re trying to get across here, as a locations appearance is one of the few things that people will be able to include within their own Roleplays while passing through.)

Background
(The background of your location is about as important as could possibly be. It is in this section that we ask you to describe just how your location came into being and what it suffered through in order to land in its current state, or how it was first built/created.
This section is not necessarily a complete history of your location, but rather an overview of the landmark itself. We do not expect you to add tons of historical events, but rather would like you to create an effective picture of how your location came into being and why it did in the first place.
If this is a natural landmark tell us how it was forged. If it’s a monument tell us why it was made, if it’s a battlefield fill us in on that battle. This is important in order to paint a complete picture of your location for others who will Roleplay there.
Also make sure to detail how easy it is to reach your location, how one can find it and if anyone or anything is defending it.
This section is more of an Out of Character blurb than anything else. It details what we the readers should know about your Location in order to properly roleplay with them. It will give us a better picture of what we can expect and just how to use them in a narrative.)

Lore
(The Lore Section of this Template is perhaps one of the most important. Here you should detail what is known of your location within the wide ranging world of Chronicles RP.
This section can be both short and long, it can be written in the style of a journal, history book, or just in a standard way. It is however important to fully convey just how your location is viewed by others and how much is known by folk at large. This will aid other writers in actually interacting with your location and further aid them in including your creation in the narrative.
For a Notable Location, this section should be used to justify exactly Why it is notable in the first place.
One can also utilize this section to establish unique and interesting story aspects of your location.Remember that this history is from the point of view of your location, and not necessarily the truth of the world.)
