Appearance

Noah's appearance couldn't abstain further from his Nordic side if it tried. His hair was not the strikingly blonde hue that most nords adorned. His muscles didn't ripple out of his armor like those of his kin and he certainly wasn't as tall as them either. He's not exactly short either and one would be a fool if they thought he still didn't carry that Nordic strength. While Noah is slender, his body is still packed with the muscle he gained from training with the Hyurians ever since he was a young lad. While the boy's skin was originally fair in complexion, years of hard laboring under the harsh sun in the deserts of Amol-Kalit left him a little darker. Scars also cover the entirety of his arms, received from beasts and his training.

When he is not in the heat of battle, Noah can be seen wearing any type of normal clothing. He usually just wears a blue, long-sleeved top with brown pants. When he's preparing for another hunt or his services are required for other tasks, Noah straps on his armor made from Hyurian steel. The breast plate and pauldrons are secured by a leather harness that covers the entirety of his abdomen. Vambraces cover his forearms while greaves cover the lower section of his legs.

Skills and Abilities

Blade Dancer- A sword-style named "Ipochen", created directly from the Hyur Village. This style mixes the grace of dance and the deadliness of a sword. Usually done with a dagger or short sword, the user keeps the blade tucked in the pit of the arm, with the other arm free and outwards towards an opponent. The first attack is almost always commenced by twirling the blade from the pit of the arm to block an incoming attack. Once the attack is blocked, the blade is twirled again and used for either a killing blow or a flurry of attacks. Most of the movement consists of the user spinning around, deflecting and countering. Advantage: Ipochen is designed to take on crowds of enemies. Disadvantage: Ipochen does not work well against blunt-weapon users, since one of the structures of Ipochen consists of blocking with a blade.

Nordic Strength- While Noah may not have the raw strength of a true nord, the Nordic blood still runs through his veins. He is stronger than most, save for the orcs and nords, showing it through the ease he uses his longsword with only one hand.

Hyurian Dexterity: Before one is even handed a blade for Ipochen, their body has to "move as the river does". In other words, the motion has to be fluid and can not be rushed or forced. Training is done by shooting arrows at lightly-padded trainees, trying to get them to dodge the incoming projectiles. The padding is thick enough so that blood is not shed, but thin enough for the arrows to leave lasting bruises.

Hunter: Though Hyur Village was independent from any of the major cities in Amol-Kalit, it was still small. Too small and out of the way for traders to consider bringing commerce to its people profitable. So, if the village wanted to fill it's people bellies, they had to send out hunting parties. Through the hunting parties, Noah learned many things. Things such as tracking, trapping and even archery came easier to Noah than most. He even learned a bit of herbalism through his ventures.

Items

  • Longsword (5ft in length: blade=4ft, hilt=1ft)
  • Oak Bow and Quiver
  • Rope Hook (tied around his waist)

Personality

Once a robust and boisterous lad, he rarely smiles these days. He's not one for idle chit-chat and only speaks when he finds it appropriate. True to his birthplace, Noah finds little use in the need for politics. To him, if you're strong you rule. If you rule incorrectly, someone stronger will take your place. There's no need to dance around the subject.

Biography & Lore

No one really knows of Noah's origins, not even himself. One day a very large man entered the village with a baby and left without a word, leaving the infant behind. The village had to take up a vote to decide if they would keep and raise the baby. It was a close vote, but Noah made it.
