Niobe Miller, Baker Extraordinaire
One of the Naiad, the water-dwellers, the riverfolk. With lifespans longer than most humanoids, and made from nature itself, Naiads do not understand the concept of family, and few choose to venture into the mortal realm. And yet, Niobe had.
Birthed from the rivers that feed in Elbion, she grew curious of mortal foods. Disguised as a fishwife, she befriended a local miller's daughter, and began to grow enamored of the realm of cooking, baking, and creating things out of food.
So thus, she began to travel.
Appearance
When in her mortal guise, Niobe seems as any mortal woman. Long, curly brown hair is often kept braided out of a face lightly tanned from days in the sun, faded with her new work as a Baker. Bright blue eyes glint, and her cheeks and nose are heavily spattered with cinnamon freckles, as are her arms and hands. Often dressed in simple clothes, she prefers cottons in dark green, blue or brown, usually with a plain apron. The backs of her hands are criss crossed with small scars, and she has a dimple in her left cheek. But always, oddly, her body seems to carry the smell of hidden waters, mysterious and sweet, if one gets close enough.
Skills and Abilities
Aside from her incredible skills with baking, her inherent gifts as a Naiad are often of subtle persuasion, a charming voice, and an engaging smile. However, she is gifted with water manipulation, but she avoids such talents, for fear of discovery.
