The Devouring Shadow
Appearance
- A wraith in a human's body, Natasha is unsettlingly graceful. Tall and willowy, her frame almost too thin as if she is on the verge of wasting away. Her skin is pale with a sickly ghostlike translucence in the right light. Long, curly dark brown hair frames her face in an unruly cascade, fringe brushes along her eyelashes. Her eyes are silver-grey. They seem almost dead at first glance- flat and unreadable. She seems as if the person she is looking at is not even there. Yet, behind her eyes lurks an insatiable hunger.
- The scent of dried roses and something metallic seems to arrive before she does.
Skills and Abilities
- The devourer: Natasha devours people- draining blood, consuming flesh, and absorbing them. Their abilities, their knowledge, their memories, and sometimes fragments of their personalities become hers.
- Dark magics: Even without consuming, she wields an inherently dark magic- drawing from the void itself. Her spells are often twisted echoes of traditional magic. But much, much worse.

Biography & Lore
The stories of her origin all contradict each other. Some say she was born into the house that she now heads, raised in velvet and blood. Others claim she was an orphan, who rose to her position by a rather adventitious marriage on her part. There are whispers that she was once something else entirely, but that story is never whispered by the same person twice.
