N'aschi Kona
A young elven man with the ambition and desire of one twice his age, N'aschi Kona travels the lands of Epressa and Liadain with a never-ending mission to etch his name into the history of the land. Raised by a small religious tribe of elves in the Bayou Garramarisma, he fled from his oppressive home and the duties that came with tribal life in order to live as a Bounty Hunter, seeking the riskiest kills, the most daring of heists, and the most wondrous sights. After having a close brush with death and being rescued by the Knights of Anathaeum, Kona pledged himself to them, and now serves as a squire within their ranks at Astenvale Monestary
Appearance
Like his father, N'aschi is both blue and grey-eyed and fair-skinned, with long wavy black hair that he usually allows to hang loosely over his face. Long red feathers hang from his headpiece, tied to pearls gifted to him by his father as decorative ear-wear, and a bead necklace adorned with a hollowed shellfish hangs around his neck, one he found during his first day after running from home. There is a distinctive scar running down his left eye, from a nasty encounter with a particularly hungry worm in the bogs.
N'aschi will often tie beads onto the coat he wears, especially when not traveling. He also often prefers to have several braids in his hair. His belt is adorned with all manner of oddities: strange stones that he has found, fish bones discovered off of the coast, and various beads of many colors are tied to his waist and hang down his thighs.

Skills and Abilities
N'aschi feels a great connection with the world, but he has not developed any magical ability as of yet. He trains himself regardless, meditating several times over the course of the day, often in remote locations or those teeming with wildlife.
He is skilled with both blade and spear, having cut his teeth hunting for his family from a very young age. His preference is a sword with a curve, and he prefers spears a bit longer than they are normally crafted. He has no experience in archery, however, and cannot be relied on for his aim.
A more unique skill that N'aschi holds is his ability for music. N'aschi has a beautiful singing voice and has crafted many makeshift instruments in his travels. Someday, it is his own heroics people will sing about. For now, though, he sings tales of love and loss, just as any other.

Personality
N'aschi is notorious for his flights of fantasy and dreams of grandeur. He's an outspoken boy, confident despite his inexperience, and passionate about the world around him. He holds a strong moral compass, but this is sometimes overridden by his passion and desire, which burn furiously within him. He sees the beauty of the world around him, the sounds and colors of what many consider to be a treacherous land lay to his eyes as though they were a symphony, and he wishes to be a part of that beauty for eternity, to attune himself to the world and live on long after all others have passed.
He lives every day with an eager smile on his face and a friendly disposition. That positive outlook belies a very real ambition, one that rears its head whenever he seeks a bounty or beast to slay in order to bring further glory to his name. N'aschi is kind and friendly, but also is relentless, unwavering, and undaunted.

Biography & Lore
N'aschi Kona desires one thing and one thing alone; To live forever.
Born as the second and youngest son of Karaburan Kona, the chief of a small tribe of deeply religious elves living in the bogs of Bayou Garramarisma, and Alisio Kona, N'aschi was cherished as only the child of an important spiritual leader could be. While Karaburan's eldest son Albrohos was heir to his position as Chief of their tribe, and potentially a spot in the Council representing them in their original homeland of Falwood, N'aschi was treated especially well by his father, due in no small part to the latter's resemblance to Karaburan's own father.
From a young age, N'aschi found amazement in the smallest and strangest of things, from dead and decaying animals he would find in the hazardous bogs and swamps surrounding his damp home to the sounds the few birds brave enough for the hostile climate made in the morning air. He would listen to the stories and songs his uncle Bayamo would tell him, passed down from his ancestors about heroic deeds and legendary quests, about the old elven kingdoms that dominated the world long before humankind, and the mysteries that had yet to be solved, waiting for fearless souls to uncover. The tales N'aschi was told about this magical world, surrounding him while also being out of his own reach transfixed him. The story of the adventurers and warriors that still to this day braved the unknown to uncover the secrets of life were always met with not only reverence and admiration but also with a childlike desire to be every bit as loved as they were. N'aschi dreamed at night of songs sung with his name, of legends being written about him. Bayamo became a cherished person to N'aschi, and remains one of the few that he returns to for advice.
While his brother Albrohos focused on his efforts to live up to his expectations, and other kids N'aschi's age worked towards becoming warriors, hunters, or some other productive member of the clan, The young Knoa devoted his time to personal interests, much to the chagrin of those expecting a more productive future for the boy. The decisions his father made as Chief did interest N'aschi, but he had no desire to be a member of some governing body, leading a people from behind politics. Instead, he spent his days studying and learning aspects of the warrior and hunter without the intention to conform to any such role; He studied music in hopes of charming great beasts to obey him, the proper method of throwing a spear or swinging a blade... The true legends of time carved their own path, and N'aschi wished to make his name known without the guidance of another.
The Chief, eventually, began to take notice of his son's fantasies. N'aschi had a good deal of potential in Karaburan's eyes, but his behavior was growing more and more strange going into his adolescence. The youth claimed to see the sounds in the air as though they were colors, would often speak to animals, and wander bare-skinned throughout the dangerous bogs around their home. Most curious and concerning though, N'aschi often expressed a great desire to be one with the world, to feel all it had to offer, and to understand it like no other so that he too may become powerful like the warriors he revered in the stories. In a tribe where magic was looked down upon, this was troubling.
With Albrohos chasing his goal to much success and knowing that his and his son's adult life would be difficult if his obsession with the heroes and the outside world was widely known, Karaburan finally decided that something needed to change regarding his son's overactive imagination and lackadaisical attitude. Attempts made to convince N'aschi to be more willing to participate and contribute tended to end in arguments, however. The boy would often confide in his mother after such incidents, but the older he grew, the more Alisio seemed to agree with her husband's desires to see N'aschi thrive within the tribe.
As a result, he began to feel even more distant and disconnected from those who only wanted the best for him. Why should they care how he chose to live? He didn't want to be labeled with a title or have a single job, he wanted to do it all. To be a part of everything. He loved both of his parents, but he refused to yield to their desires for them. The growing rift between his parents only frustrated him further, their divide causing him to withdraw from both of them, his time spent more with Albrohos and Bayamo when he sought company.
When he was finally of age, he wasted no time in fleeing from his home. The young man had grown up being told that his way of thinking was wrong, that he was to conform and remain with his tribe, fulfilling his duty as a Kona. The young tribe-elf could not imagine staying there a day longer; He desired to see every inch of Arethil, to know it like the back of his hand. He wanted to do great deeds, to slay treacherous beasts, and be known throughout the land as one of the greatest heroes to ever live. He wanted his name to live on long after he died. And it was that which filled his mind as he set off, leaving Bayou Garramarisma to explore the rest of the world in search of glory and adventure, taking up the mantle of a bounty hunter. He would become a name etched in history, even the wind itself speaking his name in fond memory when he was done.
Such delusions of grandeur would almost immediately lead him to peril. Only a few short months after his rebellious journey toward independence began, N'aschi found himself out of money, in over his head, and outmatched by those he faced. By the time the young elf had come to terms with that, he was in the maw of a great beast, being dragged back to its den to be dined on. The story he sought to tell certainly looked to be a short one, with a gruesome ending. It was the efforts of a woman named Josai, springing into action with a group known as The Knights of Anathaeum, that saved him from an early death. With their combined efforts, N'aschi and The Knights were able to slay the beast.
Kona's path then diverted once more, this time for the better. Wounded, his belongings broken or eaten by the beast, and without a home, The Knights offered him a chance to join their ranks in Astenvale, and train to become one of their own. Feeling far more welcomed and comfortable with Josai and company than he had with anybody else on the mainland thus far, Kona accepted.
Now, N'aschi Kona is a Squire for The Knights of Anathaeum, studying and training to perfect his craft at the Astenvale Monastery. While not the solitary and independent glory he once sought, he is content with the opportunity to become a legend in a different manner, among comrades and allies fighting towards a common purpose.
Still, once must wonder how long it will take for him to grow restless once more.
