Naeris
A young bird brain with the curiosity of a cat.
Appearance
There is much about Naeris that is reminiscent of a tree swallow.
Where his presence would be lacking due to his slender form, is made up for in his large wing span.
He has long black hair usually tied back, pale skin and blue eyes. His wings are naturally white with dark feathers along the edge of the wings, he dyes them in bright blues and greens.

Personality
Naeris is the type that can't help but hunt down the answer once a question enters his mind.
While he has some lingering prejudices and presumptions, he has long since abandoned any idea that there is some fundamental goodness his people posses that others do not. Still the occasional bit of haughtiness lingers, or perhaps more than occasional.
For Naeris being out among the walks of life on the ground is a bravery born from a sincere desire to learn.
Despite how much time he spends learning about Arethil and its people, many would say where he excels in book smarts he makes up for in his overwhelming lack of street smarts. No matter how many times pulling a strange lever has landed him in trouble, if there is an unmarked and unattended lever he will, indeed, pull it.
Biography & Lore
Naeris was the much beloved only child of two Avariel forest keepers. Their duty was to cultivate the forest and other such agricultural pursuits. His parents had of course hoped he too might take up their profession.
Naeris unending tendency to ask 'why' questions landed him on the path of scholar.
In schooling Naeris often pursued the answer to a question long after a mentor was satisfied with giving one.
This was likely why despite the dismissive at best way the world below was described he couldn't help a growing desire to see it.
He descended to the world below despite many protests and warnings from his family and friends alike. There Naeris spent time traveling with his wings hidden, taking on odd jobs as a scribe or apprenticing under alchemists.
It wasn't until he began traveling amongst various Yaegir that he began to let his wings loose.
Naeris isn't the sort that gets the thrill of the hunt, or desires to be axe in hand on a battlefield, however he had found that traveling with such groups lead to seeing no end of curiosities. Traveling amongst the groups bases gave him an opportunity to see more of the surface, and hear far flung tales.
Not only that but being associated with such a group offered a bit of protection on the road against even the less obvious monsters.
Generally, he helps with administrative tasks that the more swordly types tend to leave by the wayside when not traveling. On the road he helps scout ahead and provides small assistance with ranged weapons like bows or alchemical brews.
