Myles Widogast
Appearance
Myles has a tall and thin frame and most people can guess his pursuit of knowledge by the way he walks and conveys himself.
Skills and Abilities
Myles has a thirst for knowledge so he can be insightful on certain topics. His scholarly attitude allows him to study problems/topics with great endeavor. Another skill he possesses is the basic ability to study and somewhat manipulate the Arcane Arts.
He is still studying and needs a master to show him the proper usage of magic but he does practice quite often to not lose touch.
Widogast is all about learning but when it comes to exploring ruins etc. he stays behind to study mundane items if given the chance. Another setback is that he is not the most experienced with a sword. Sure he carries a small dagger but he prefers to use magic (practice makes perfect).
Personality
Myles is rather polite but weary of those who come from distant lands at times. He enjoys learning about others and loves a good story told by an adventurer. Enthusiasm is shown for topics and items that he shows interest in.
Biography & Lore
Myles was born to a cartographer and baker in Alliria. Growing up, Myles would watch his father (Marek) plot maps and listen to stories about the outside world. The young scholar would dream of travelling far and wide to learn as much as he could. Myles' mother (Sybil) would convey her distaste over his wanderlust.
Education was something that Myles excelled at and he expressed interest in studying ancient civilizations and learning about magic. Myles found that he could harness magic in some way, as he saved a bystander from being pummeled by heavy lumber joists by brushing him out of the way without even touching him.
Bewildered and excited, Myles would seek out a way to master the Arcane Arts and perhaps find a master who could teach him everything needed. Myles would make money in Alliria by doing general labor such as splitting wood, masonry etc. he also helped his father draft maps when needed.
Before leaving Alliria, Myles ran into a stranger in Aryn's Bookstore who proclaimed to be a well-versed mage. Inquiring further about learning more on magickal properties. The man revealed himself to be Maho Sparhawk and offered to take Myles along for training. Myles openly agreed and set out on the road with Maho in order to seek the knowledge he desires.
During their initial travel, Maho taught Myles the actual meaning of magic and how to harness it moreover. From creating a staff and talking about magickal philosophies, the two went to Falwood and Maho revealed that he had an ancient artifact--The Black Mirror. It was here in Falwood where Maho would leave Myles momentarily to take care of other business.
