Matteo is a ruggedly handsome individual. His body is impressively built from years of mountaineering and hunting. His face is decorated with many small scars. When at lower altitudes, he wears his normal hunting attire. When he knows he will be climbing, or hiking at higher altitudes, he dresses appropriately.

He is a competent fighter and hunter from his upbringing of manhunting and beast-slaying. Being born in a village close to the jagged mountains of the Spine, he has come to understand navigating the mountains and the weather associated with them. He possesses impressive physical strength, and fights in a brutal and swift manner.

He understands and can communicate somewhat in Orcish. He is mostly illiterate.

He tends to be more introverted and shy, yet has no problem opening up to others. Matteo is not overly emotional. He could be described as a loner. It is notable that despite his skill and experience in fighting, he prefers to avoid violence and sees conflict in a negative light. He greatly values life and only hunts to support his village financially and for subsistence. The idea of hunting purely for sport angers him, as does needless violence.

Matteo can be considered ignorant and apathetic, as he cares little for events of the world that would have no effect on his village.

Matteo was born in Arosa, a small village at the base of The Spine. There, he learned all that he knows from his father. Combat, mountaineering, hunting, and trade. He used that knowledge to make a living for himself and to protect his home.

His village is located on the opposite side of the portal stone by Crobbear Lake. The village has access to the river, which Matteo will occasionally use to do trade in Bhathairk.
