Marcus Farstride is a human male who was born in a small village a day's walk from the city of Alliria. Growing up he was fortunate enough to have a small school for the village children to attend, and so began his obsession with reading that would eventually transpire into an ever-growing pull to magic and learning more about it. Trips with his father into Alliria would always include visits to book stores, and his father always did his best to accommodate Marcus' passion.

As he grew older, Marcus decided it was time to leave the nest and so he began travelling. To make a living, he picked up odds and ends throughout his travels to sell at future destinations. All the while doing his best to learn as much as he can.
