M’Arevic
Appearance
M’Arevic’s appearance is nothing extraordinary compared to others of his kind. His pale-gray skin seems normal from afar and to the untrained eye, though as one grows close they can easily identify it as the skin and scales of a Komodi. However, below his elbows on his arms and his knees on his legs, the scales become much darker, shifting from a light gray to a dark gray. A similar phenomenon happens at the end of his awkwardly long tail, and down the back of his spine. All over his lithe body and especially on his hands and tail are markings of white skalla, in circular and oddly symmetric designs. For attire, M’Arevic is often seen in dark, long, and hooded clothes that conceal his entire body, with several belts and saches covered in vials, concoctions, and tinctures. Alongside this is a large bag of various potions and poisons, and a long black beak-like mask, filled with herbs to help make sure the breath he breathes out isn’t contaminated.
Skills and Abilities
M’Arevic is as swift as any other Komodi, though the size of his tail makes him quite clumsy at times. He has nimble fingers and sharp eyes, but what really sets him apart is his mind. While almost all other Komodi have a lack of aptitude for scholarly pursuits, M’Arevic is a master alchemist, apothecary, and plague-doctor. He was born with a very high intelligence among Komodi, and has always had a love of experimentation. His greatest skill is being able to mix together various tonics and concoctions on the fly, and use them to effective results.
Personality
M’Arevic is soft-spoken and quiet, and spends much of his free time reading, or experimenting with whatever things he has spare of, and taking notes. He is fond of the road and is completely comfortable traveling by his lonesome, not fretting the dangers of the road or the fear of isolation. He has a calm demeanor by nature, which is only outshined by his intelligent mind... most of the time.
At heart, M’Arevic is still a Komodi, and one that takes joy in everything he can. In moments of excitement and energy, his calm demeanor sheds away and reveals his vibrant and passionate inner-self. When he is in the heart of celebration, he is joyous, happy, fiery, and occasionally clumsy (when it comes to waking, at least). Occasionally he can become fired up when being insulted, though he will always do his best to reel himself in if he senses himself getting angry or defensive.

Biography & Lore
M’Arevic’s birth was nothing to cry home about. Born into a caravan of rather colorful and vibrant Komodi, the biggest thing that stood out (aside from his awkwardly large tail), was the muteness of the color in his body. While not an exceptional occurrence, it often lead to others perceiving him as unseemly or rather bland in appearance. Yet from a young age, M’Arevic showed a trait that set him apart far more than his scales: erudition.
M’Arevic’s childhood wasn’t hard, nor was it easy either. Much like all Komodi, he worked the moment he was old enough to do so, and in a caravan of gypsies and thespians, that meant learning to do things such as dance, do acrobatics, and occasionally nimbly pick up a purse some poor sod left behind. M’Arevic’s tail became an issue soon after he started to join in on the performances, though through luck and coincidence, he found a way, through alchemical combination of a few simple plants and Komodi venom, to create a smoke-like effect to make up for his clumsiness. When his parents learned of his exploit, they started to realize that his mind might be sharper than that of his peers.
In his free time, his parents helped him learn to read, and much to their surprise, he thoroughly enjoyed reading, and even writing. As he grew older, M’Arevic read through all sorts of subjects and concepts, though none of them raptured him as much as the concept of alchemical invention. By the time he was 18, M’Arevic was reading through books written by doctors versed in dealing with diseases, and various tomes written by apothecaries. His entire caravan recognized his odd intelligence, and the first skalla he received reflected that.
When he turned 20 years of age, M’Arevic left the caravan with some saved-up funds to attend a university at Alleria. Among the humans, he learned early on to keep his identity hidden, and to cover up his body as to not spread the diseases he unknowingly carried. He spent the next four years ostracized by other students of other races, though he kept his mind focused on his studies. It was here that his personality became quiet and he became more soft-spoken, and while he didn’t excel at conventional methods of medicine, he showed an aptitude in utilizing elements he had on hand to come up with cures. He thought on his feet.
After four years in university, M’Arevic (called Maravich by his teachers and associates) left the school, having learned all he could. With the money he had left, he purchased a few things he might need as an apothecary (a mask, protective clothing, vials, and a bag), and after a brief visit to his caravan to wish his family goodbye, he hit the road as a traveling doctor.
Since then, M’Arevic has been traveling from town to town, helping clinics and clients in need of his services, before departing once more with a heavier purse.
