Mag'Rukhan of the Steppes
Appearance
Magga’s hair is long and thick and black like a raven’s feather. For practicality, however, she usually wears braids, so that her hair doesn’t get in her face when she fights. She adorns her thick braids with rings made from copper and silver. She washes her hair often and regularly applies scented oils that she makes herself. This is something you learn quickly, when hunting on the plains of her homeland. Under scorching hot sun, hunting for days and even weeks, without the ability to wash yourself, keeping your hair smooth and smelling nice is a definite plus. Who knew orcs were vain?
The towering orc woman has vibrant, amber eyes. They are keen and sharp and sit above high cheekbones. They are often focused and intently directed at whomever she is talking to, but if she is about to fight or someone is trying to start one, they have a certain expectant, playful glint. Magga loves a good brawl and won’t shy away from one. The most notable about her eyes, however, would probably be the pure expression of rage they carry when she is in the midst of intense battle.
In her experience, it seems like most other races think that orcs are only green. Or some shade of green, however. Magga is not green, though. Her skin is a medium reddish shade of brown with a tinge of green. When she was younger the green in her skin was more visible, but as she grew up and as she spent more time in the sun, her skin became more brown.
Magga is built like a brick shithouse. Well, that’s what that one human said, back when she first met one, years ago when she first met a member of the human race. She thought about that for a long time, and after a while she realized that maybe, seen through human eyes, that might be an apt description. They seemed like such weak little things. Magga is corded with muscle and possesses a brute force that is shocking to most humans. She has well-defined arms, large, veiny and strong hands, a very strong back from using her bow all her life, a toned midriff and thick, strong thighs.
She carries the mark of her clan on her left shoulder along with two lines above her elbow, marking her as named Orc. Besides this, she has countless scars from scraps and fights, most notable, are the claw marks that run from her right shoulder blade up across her shoulder. That was a particularly nasty animal to kill. But she killed it, and its hide now covers her back and shields her from the cold.
Equipment
Armor:
Mag’Rukhan wears leather armor, as plate is much to annoying to wear. She has the strength, that is not the problem, but it’s too restrictive of movement. So she sticks to tough leather, and a very worn, tattered shirt of mail that covers her shoulders and comes to a pointed end just below her navel. Her feet are clad in leather boots, with fur to keep her warm. Her shoulders are protected by leather pauldrons. Finally, he forearms are covered by bracers.
Clothing:
Hide pants, dyed a dark gray. Thick, furry hide draped over her shoulders when travelling. It’s clearly skinned from a mighty beast and it looks warm and comfortable.
Weapons:
Longbow - A thick yet pliable longbow, made from an exoetic type of wood. Almost as tall as she is and has a terrifying range. Magga is a good shot and she fires arrows that look more like they belong on a ballista. Well, maybe not, but they're huge, okay?
Axe - A well made, nasty looking orcish axe. It serves her when she carves up her kill, but in close combat, it wreaks absolute havoc on her enemies. She wields it with one hand. A human might require two.
