Mackenzie "Mack" Erris
Appearance
Truly a man of little expectation for himself, Mackenzie could perhaps be considered lazy, at least in how he presents himself. Often the great length of his hair goes untended, thrown behind his head in a sundering mess. His facial hair goes untended, and often his garb is fitted loosely, wrinkly and unkempt. And though he portrays a rather disheveled look in relatively common dress for one of his sort, he carries himself with a dignified confidence that seems quite uncharacteristic at first glance. Often stoic seeming in his resting expression, he is hardly one of such demeanour. Often he wears a toothy smile paired with a verbal jab or other colourful observation, or a foul grimace in the face of conflict.
Skills and Abilities
Mackenzie is, although far from a master in any regard, a formidable individual in a number of different ways. Having lived a relatively mundane life for great many years, he is knowledgeable in how to tend crops, catch fish, construct and maintain shelters, and bargain. But while these are all things he is capable of doing, he found once he tried his hand with the sword that it was fitted far better in his hand than a fork had ever been. And though in this he has quickly developed a skill, his tardiness in this endeavour limits his experience and ability to adapt. This lack led to his inevitable, and in his case fortuitus defeat at the hands of a werewolf.
This defeat marked Mackenzie's change from a mere man into what some would consider to be a monster...
But such is not necessarily always the case. In the years since Mackenzie's infection and transformation, his understanding, though still quite limited, has grown. It is true that with the full light of the greatest moon he is changed into a monster with an unquenchable thirst for destruction, standing tall in the likeness of a man and wolf entwined as one. However, in the time between, if he wills it he may change his shape into something far less frightening and far easier to control. His likeness becomes like that of a natural wolf, though far larger and dressed in all black fur. And though in this likeness he is unable to speak, and his thought is not exactly as like when he is as a man, his instincts and inclinations still follow those same more benevolent or benign paths he would willingly choose.

Personality
Sarcastic and carefree, Mackenzie, or Mack as he prefers, is often misread as a wayward scoundrel or even a pirate. Even in situations putting his and other's lives at stake, his sometimes thoughtless remarks might lead one to question his level of awareness. In truth he has simply come to a place in his life where he is simply happy to be alive, despite what comes his way. This isn't to say he does not get frustrated or even fearful, but he seems somewhat more adept at making light of even the heaviest situations - at least he can for himself.
When it comes to his interactions with others, his history is marred with what he considers to be great failures. His day to day and relatively surface level relationships with others seem to be of little issue for him, even proving adept at reading a person quite quickly, and often able to get along with just about anybody. But, when it comes to delving more deeply with someone, whether he realizes it or not, he resists.
Despite this, he remains quite efficient at networking with individuals most would consider to be unsavoury, and he is able to acquire certain benefits these kinds of people may bring. However, when finding himself in particularly tense situations, his sarcastic nature becomes a force he cannot control and he often lands himself in far more trouble than was ever really necessary.
