Lucien Saartre
Lucien was born as the only son to a middle-class family in the center of Oban.
Though his father was neither particularly intelligent nor impressive, his mother was a woman of keen intellect and ambition. Knowing that this sort of attitude was looked down upon in the city of Oban, Lucien's mother did everything she could to ensure that her child had every tool he required to succeed.
While his father labored away daily on the docks of the city, his mother ensured that Lucien received the best education that he possibly could.
Both of his parents encouraged these efforts, and Lucien grew up with a passion for learning. His education was better than even most Nobles in Oban, and by the time he was eighteen he had a keen grasp on arithmetic, several languages, as well as some of the more basic sciences.
His intellect and education at this time allowed him to attend University in Alliria. It was there that he furthered his studies in medicine and discovered his talent in an aspect of life giving magic.
For five years Lucien remained in Alliria, doing his best to further his life and studies until tragic new reached him. His parents home in Central Oban burnt to the ground in the middle of the night. Both his mother and father were trapped inside and they passed.
Though no one is quite sure what happened, Lucien believes they were victims of foul play.
Without much hesitation the young Doctor returned to Oban, quickly making a name for himself there was a fair and effective healer. Despite this, Lucien does not have a lot in the way of money and struggles still to pay for the modest home he resides in within Oban.
