Lori comes from a wealthy, landowning family from the Eastern edges of the Allirian Reach. Unlike many of the Knights of Anathaeum she never had an interest in joining the order.

Her father owed the waning order. He had to promise them that once his first son and daughter were married that the largest remaining child would join them. That turned out to be Lori.

She had never wanted to be a Knight. A tall, gangly youth she had wanted to wear dresses like her two older daughters and attend balls. Instead she was given a sword and trained in its use for over a decade.
