Lorelei Darke
A once-Queen and Coven leader, now reduced to nostalgia and regret. The Lady Darke has lost everything from her home, people, family, and children to the plans and dreams she'd once fiercely fought for before the Reckoning. She and her younger sister Aristeia are, so far as they are aware, the last of their kind; now awakened centuries later due to the great cataclysm brought on by Drakomir's fury.
Appearance
Lorelei is marked most notably for her mane of thick, vibrant red hair. Inordinately tall and stately, whose shapely but trim physique is often hidden by the lengths of ceremonial dresses and high class gowns. Her eyes are a lively color of olive green with flecks of gold and shadows of brown. Her complexion is fair and unmarred though at her back right shoulder begins the center of an expansive ink marking: its origins being a branding received upon her gaining status as a Coven leader. The brand itself is the Tree of Life and from it over the years the "branches" and "roots" have spread across her figure, forming intricate patterns and knot work.
Skills and Abilities
Due to her kind, Lorelei has innate enhanced physical strength, speed, stamina and longevity. Generally immune to most common sicknesses and diseases as a healthy Aszai can heal faster than humans. Fresh meat, blood, or energy will enhance their healing abilities - not instantaneous unless enhanced by exterior powers such as magic.
Aszai see particularly well in the dark and find the light of any moon energizing. They boast a double set of fangs on the upper and lower jaws, though all of their teeth are very sharp. Lorelei can and does suffer bloodlust, though the last time she lost herself to it she was a teenager. She sates it on a concoction dubbed "Blodwyne" or by feeding on the energy of others. If left unchecked she can become volatile and unpredictable. Full bloodlust is quite monstrous and messy.
Lorelei's personal prowess lies mostly in her powers with Sorcery. She is a powerful telepath and empath; highly skilled in Alchemy; strong and agile on her feet in battle with swords and other blades. Historical Lore, philosophy, language and the study of ancient sites and artifacts are also something of a favorite pastime. Having spent the majority of her life in a leadership position has made her particularly good at diplomacy and at playing-face.
She falls short in warfare and battle strategy - neither of which was she ever very good at and typically she relied upon others to provide such skills when the time called for it. Lorelei is also apathetic towards the plots and plans of others unless they can benefit her in some way.

Biography & Lore
After civil war broke out among the covens of Anver, Lorelei watched as a biological weapon tore mercilessly through her people. The plague killed nearly everyone of her kind it came in contact with - either you were immune or you were not. Most were not. To save her coven and family, Lorelei took them to a secure chamber deep within the Anver catacombs where she induced a spell of hibernation upon them while they were safely stowed away within their tombs.
When she awoke several centuries later, it was to the horrifying reality of the loss of her coven caused by the cataclysm of Drakomir's awakening and tsundering of the lands. Only herself and her younger sister, Aristeia Darke survived. Now they are on the move with what riches and supplies they had left, seeking a new place to call home and a new people to conquer.
