Appearance

Drytail is a sigh to behold. A massive rat, his sheer girth is a testament to his wealth and power, and commands attention wherever he goes. He frequently wears fine platemail armor pieces where they are able to fit over his body, and adorns the rest of his stature with expensive fabrics and leathers. Overall, he seeks to make obvious his great wealth while also remaining somewhat battle ready. Though truth be told, he has not personally seen combat in years.

Skills and Abilities

Drytail is physically strong and durable, owing mostly to his size. His true power comes from his wealth and network, however. He commands an army of enforcers and rules over his section of the Underdark with an iron fist. All profits from trade, legal and otherwise, are taxed to him, and most if not all stolen goods are fenced through him and his associates.

Due to his wealth and influence, there is little that he cannot obtain or have others do on his behalf.

When forced to fight for himself he prefers the use of a massive greatsword named "The Farmer's Wife."

Personality

Brutal and merciless, Lord Skavius Drytail rose to power through violence. While he is no longer quite as quick to anger as he used to be he does not tolerate any insult to his monumental pride. Now that he is older, he prefers to fight his battles with cunning, strategy, money, and a good dose of military might.

He is clever, calculating, and strategic. He is also selfish, self-important, and gluttonous. His quest to expand his empire is never ending, and more and more of the Underdark tunnels have seen his touch in recent years.

Biography & Lore

Lord Skavius Drytail began his conquests through brutality. Starting with only himself and a small band of followers, he slowly and methodically took over small tracts of the Underdark. Rather than looting and razing them outright, however, he demanded continual payment from the residents in exchange for his "protection." Soon he had enough wealth to own most enterprises and employ nearly all thieves and brigands in the area. Little by little, his reach spread, alongside his coffers and his waistline.

He gave himself the moniker of "Lord" early on, and Skavius Drytail is undoubtedly an alias. His true name and origins are unknown, and one would be wise not to inquire about these subjects. He enjoys the symbolism of the name, as he keeps himself well above the dirty deeds of his followers and thus "keeps his tail dry" while they extort, brutalize, and murder on his behalf.
