Lord Renly is a man who has chosen philanthropy, social security and understanding for the citizens he rules over - and is paying the price. A man who has gone against the conventional wisdom of might makes right, he is in a precarious position and he knows it all too well. Charitable, welcome to new ideas, yet insecure in his position as ruler of his fief, he is seeking solutions to his quandary, through whatever means serve his vision of leadership. Beset by those who might doubt his methods and seek to undermine his position of leadership, Lord Renly is a skilled diplomat, politician and benefactor to his people, yet all good things are beset by the ambitions of ruthless men.
