Appearance

As all elves, Loras is taller than the average human - lighter too. Unlike the clumsy gait of humans, dwarves, and the other races, the Elf seems to almost float across the ground. Some might call it graceful. Light hair adorns his head, his pale flesh and slate eyes giving him a more aggressive appearance than some of his species. In addition to his naturally high metabolism Loras spends significant time outdoors and on his feet, aiding in his high level of physical fitness - evident by his sinewy physique.

Skills and Abilities

Martial Prowess: Combat is more than just a battle, a fight, a brawl. It is also art. The art of mastering a blade, the art of mastering archery - these talents are as much an art as a utility. Loras has devoted much of his time to not only maintaining strength of body but practicing skills that create a symbiosis between the arts of combat and daily life. Unlike the human perception of combat being a clash of two armies or soldiers, Loras sees it as more of a dance and his combat style reflects that. Smooth and graceful - a lethal dance.

Above Reproach: Elves live long lives, it is incredibly important that they live their lives in a manner which will see their name unstained by rumor or scandal. As such, every action is guided by thoughts to the past, present, and future. Loras strives to honor his kind as much as he does protect them from threat. It is a noble endeavor and his record speaks to such - while not a veteran of war, he has often left the safety of Fal'Addas to remove threats to its people. Roving orcs, goblins, feral beasts. At 86 years of age he is still young among the elves but has already begun developing a history to be proud of.

Personality

Loras, despite his severe features, is often quite amiable. He loves to think, strategize, and ponder problems - perhaps in part due to his time spent in the militia. Though he enjoys thought exercises well enough, his youth gets the better of him at times. Eager to jump in and solve a problem, it wouldn't be unusual for him to do so without considering all the angles. Young by Elven standards, he yet has a wild streak that the usual stoicism of the Elves failed to quell.

Pride is a flaw not unique to Loras however where most believe that species are more or less equal, he believes fully in the superiority of the Elf. Having been beyond the borders of Fal'Addas and witnessed the brutality of wandering Orc bands, the sick relish that wild goblins seem to take when they inflict wounds upon weary travelers, even the rather primitive minds of humans - each reinforcing his beliefs that Elves are superior in every way. Aside from his strong opinions, Loras is friendly, often reaching out to help those elves in need and doing his best to provide what protection or assistance might be needed at disadvantage to himself.

Since childhood Loras has been more reserved than his peers. Turning away from the more prominent immaturities of youth (Excessive Drinking, partying, or partaking in debaucherous practices), Loras spends his time reading, learning, or simply enjoying nature. He has always found himself enthralled by life and its counterpart - death. Not one alone but the entire cycle.

Biography & Lore

A product of Fal'Addas, Loras was given an Elven name: Lor'a'sariel. As he grew older, traveled from the safety of the city and into the wilds he found that the simple minds of humans, dwarves (eww), and other species were often unable to pronounce nor understand his name and thus was born the name "Loras Silverfoot" - a reference to his swift and agile nature.

Loras grew up in a traditional Elven household, his father a hunter and tracker by trade. Loras learned these skills, following in the man's footsteps both literally and figuratively. Once old enough he was signed to the militia, a loose gathering of able bodied and capable Elves whose primary endeavor was to keep away threats to Fal'Addas and those living in the surrounding Falwood. Hunting down wandering Orcs, patrolling trade routes and deterring wayward goblins, and on occasion even escorting elders to and from the city.

As of late his work has been routine - boring even. It is this newfound boredom that has driven him to volunteer for any duty that will take him beyond the city reaches. Wanderlust has struck him full on, it's only a matter of time before he finds a way out.
