Racial Traits

The Hivemind: All Cast have highly attuned receptors for receiving instructions via pheromones enabling a vast communications array capable of communicating complex instructions spanning miles.

Genetic Fluidity: As a race they are highly adaptive. When introduced to a new or hostile environment it will not take long for the swarm to either adapt, find or create a way to overcome the danger.
In addition to their adaptable bodies they possess the ability to assimilate desired traits from the things they consume, changing themselves on the genetic level to possess the desired traits.

Lore & Behavior

The Leviathan Cast are designed with war in mind, the template is leftover from a previous hierarch who wanted a siege creature to overcome the obstacle of walled cities, being able to burrow under the walls or even through them to allow the swarm easier access to the vulnerable humanoids within.
It sacrificed a large portion of the swarm to bring down the purple worm that became the first base in this template and created the Leviathan category.

Since then the template has been modified for transportation as its main purpose while sacrificing little of its siege utilities.

These listed are mutation variants of the Leviathan Cast.
These creatures appear like giant sand worms, their segmented bodies covered in thick chitinous hide and their mouths filled with hundreds of sword sized teeth and savage mandibles. They have no visible eyes but they are able to see through their seismic senses and echolocation. They move under the earth, tunneling with their great mouths and moving along at great speeds with hundreds of clawed legs.
They are most commonly created using the infamous Purple Worm as a base for their template.
Burrower: They can dig underground and through solid stone at great speeds.
Seismic Sense: They are able to "see" where they are going even when traveling underground by detecting the vibrations of nearby creatures and using echolocation to avoid any unpassable obstacles.
Mobilization: This particular template is able to carry massive amounts of swarm creatures in their stomachs without ill effect to them or their passengers. They are even able to travel safely underground and underwater with their passengers and then come to the surface to deposit their payload at their destination.
