Levat, as he is known now, was once an Anirian Guardsmen serving within the 5th Western Army.

Born in a time of relative peace about a hundred years after the second Elven War, Levat's time as a human was relatively short compared to his unlife. Only twenty five years old when he was turned, Levat knew little of the world or what it could really hold for him.

He had spent most of his life in the outer village of Tellat, a satellite settlement that acted as a trading point and grainery for the main city of Vel Anir. There he worked on his fathers farm until he was called up for his Year long duty within the Anirian Guard.

Levat proved himself to be an unremarkable soldier, though did well enough that he was offered a position within the Western Army when his year of conscription was up.

Seeing this as a better option than farming for the rest of his life Levat gladly took this, and for the next years proceeded to jump from garrison to garrison. His time within the Guard was relatively uneventful. He took part in the suppression of several rebellions but spent most of his time stationed in various cities as a simple 'Anirian Presence' for the local Government.

This all changed when Levat was station in the city of Vel Greshik.

Though an Anirian city, Vel Greshik sat on the outskirts of the what could be described as the Vel Influence. The city was more lawless than most, and at the time of his stationing there was rumor of a serial killer roaming the streets. This of course called for a Guard response, and several patrols were sent out into the city streets.

It was on the first night of these Patrols that Levat met his eventual fate at the hands of the 'Butcher of Vel Greshik'.

Although no one is sure what happened that night, it is known that the Patrol Levat was a part of disappeared. All twelve men went missing, but along with their disappearance came that of the Butchers. After that night the killings in Greshik stopped, and whatever nightmare haunted the streets ceased to be.

Two decades passed before the man now known as Levat reappeared. In the dark of night he came to the small town of Tellat, visiting what was once his home. He stepped to the side of his sickly mothers bed, much to her shock, and comforted her as she lay dying.

His eyes had turned red, his skin pale, and he had not aged a day since the night he'd disappeared. She thought him a ghost, though she did not live long enough to find out the truth.

From there Levat's appearances were infrequent and always under a different name.

Rumors always swirled. Talk of a man capable of bending any audience, of an enigmatic scholar searching for answer, of a statesman teaching the young of a rich merchant. Over four hundred years Levat would always surface for a brief time and then quickly disappear. Each time he would linger for just long enough to find what he wanted, only to just disappear.

It is unknown exactly what Levat wants or believes, but recently he has more openly surfaced in the free-city of Stralvel.
