Personality
While Landon can seem quiet and harsh with his actions and decisions, he is very loyal to the few friends he has. And loyal to his duties as an Anirian Knight and those he is charged to protect. Landon prefers the advantage of distance and position to a fight, versus close-up hand-to-hand combat, though he can also do that exceptionally well.
Biography & Lore
Landon grew up on a small farm outside the capital of Vel Anir. His father served as a knight before he retired, his mother mainly tending to the farm. When Landon was about 15 his father died in one of the many battles against the elves of the Falwood. Two years later Landon went in for his year of conscript, a year early than the usual 18. During that year, he rose quickly among the ranks and was recognized for his bowmanship and sniper skills.
When he served his year, he was quickly sought out to become an Anirian Knight and granted a specialized position among his peers. He was granted a one-week leave of absence to make his decision. He went back home to the farm and helped his mother. A rogue band of orcs travelling far from the spine raided their farm. Landon was unable to save his mother as they slaughtered her in front of his eyes.
Fate or the Goddess intervened for Landon because as the orcs went to slaughter the 18-year old next, a group of Anirian knights arrived. Landon was freed and fought alongside the knights to kill the rest of the orcs. With no family left and a destroyed farm, the choice to join the Guardsmen permanently and become an Anirian Knight was an easy one.
Under the service of a Dreadlord named Talus, he was gifted with a sungsteel bow.A bow that looks like normal wood but is actually made of steel and has the power to pierce through armor and steel plates. He was also gifted with a quiver of sungsteel tipped arrows.
When Landon doesn’t have a battle or duties to distract him, he usually turns to dragonspice sticks, getting lost within their heady-taste.
