Appearance

Krunk strikes an imposing figure, standing nearly seven feet tall. He wears tattered, half-rotten leather armor that has been sewn together numerous times. The armor doesn't provide much in the way of protection, merely providing covering for the sake of modesty.

He scales are blue-grey, like steel, and his arms and torso are riddled with scars where he has taken hits and lost scales. His face hasn't been spared from this damage, either, with a pale arc cut across a cheek until it intersects with one of his horns, a gouged piece long since healed over. His horns curl back from his forehead, asymmetrical to each other. Uncommon for his people, his hair does not match the color of his scales, not even a little. It is a deep blood red, and he wears it in a loose braid that hangs down his back, festooned with bones, bits of stone and shell, and other charms. When asked, he will simply state that these ornaments are to keep the dark spirits at bay.

His frame is thick and well muscled, and he is clearly a warrior. If the tattered armor wasn't enough of a giveaway to this, then the great slab of steel on his back surely tells the tale. More a metal sheet with edges than a proper sword, its very nearly as long as he is tall, broad - at least four inches across - tapering to a point. The weapon is of seemingly indifferent quality, alother it is scarred, gouged, scratched, and notched all along its length.

His tail is marked with glyphs that he will not speak of - lest he offend the spirits, he would say. The symbols have no apparent meanin.

Skills and Abilities

Strengths

Krunk is savage in combat. While general Komodi are not known for their violence, for whatever reason this fellow relishes it. He takes no pleasure in inflicting death and hurt to others, rather, he enjoys the fighting for the sake of it, as a sport.

Krunk is frightfully quick for his size. Many would make the mistake that his size would force him to be slower in combat, but in ideal conditions the Komodo can move like a striking viper, even with the massive club of a sword he carries with him.

He is absolutely fearless in combat, and single-minded to boot. While he possesses no latent magical skills - no Komodi does - he is extremely resistant to anything that affects his mind when his blood is up and he is actively fighting.

Like all Komodi, he possesses natural armor and natural weapons, and is not afraid of using them when needed, and to good effect. While no tactical genius, he is nevertheless extremely effective with the abilities at his disposal, capable of using his fire breath with surgical precision.

Weaknesses

Krunk's love of fighting is, to be quite honest, not always a great asset. He will prefer to solve problems by fighting before any other method, regardless of whether it is smart to do so or not. It often lands him in hot water, and it is only through his overarching resilience that it has not killed him yet.

While he is smart enough in a fight, he is no grand architect on a battlefield, be it a brawl or a sprawling skirmish with numerous assets in the mix. He is quite happy to be a grunt, but when left on his own, or with others that for some reason think he has a grasp on the situation...

His fearlessness is not necessarily an asset in all situations, either. He is prone to wade into any situation, no matter how frighteningly over matched, without a second thought.

Personality

Krunk has a tendency to think that any problem can be solved with violence in some form or another. He tends towards impulsive action without really think far ahead or without considering any potential consequences for actions that he decides are the best course of action. This is really not much of a surprise, as he will often charge into a group of foes, laying about him with sadistic glee.

Krunk loves to fight. Although it cannot be said to be a trait picked up in his early years, he certainly enjoys a good brawl. Any fight, though, is fine by him. he is absolutely fearless on the battlefield, which is both a blessing and a curse - the sight of a nearly seven-foot tall komodo charging headlong with a great, battered great sword raised high is enough to chill the soul of all but the most hardened warriors.

Outside of combat, Krunk is fairly gentle. The stark contrast between the blood-thirsty barbarian on the battlefield versus the quiet and generally cordial (if a bit slow-witted) lizard-man off of it is enough to make many do a double take. When not fighting, the Komodo is usually thinking ahead to the next fight - the only kind of thinking ahead he seems to do.

The Komodi has a distinct distaste for mages, and the cordiality offered to virtually everyone is strained when dealing with these folk. He will never admit to it, and never has said why this is, but deep down there might be the spark of smoldering resentment that they can do what he can not. He recognizes their usefulness in a fight, and probably desires to be able to wield their powers to aid in his own fighting technique. It is amusing, because his own fighting technique would likely leave a mage, faced with such a threat, soiling themselves in abject terror.
