Meet Korali Inaro. A young elven woman setting out with a group of friends to learn about the world. Who needs stuffy rules or traditions? They were going to make their own path! What wonderful new things she will learn on her journey of self discovery!

*Record scratch*

Actually she was kicked out on her own. Scared whispers behind her back, dubbing her the death whisperer. Apparently making friends with the shadowkin from the mines is a huge no go. Rumors of her being some assassin with the power of shadowmancy began circling, which are totally not true cause she wouldn't hurt a fly! Still, she supposed it was better than being called "Little Canary". It wasn't until later she found out that it wasn't exactly a term of endearment used by the nordenfiir (or bear shifters) that populated the cold and harsh mining colony called Withereach. She may not be the brightest in the bunch, but what could she do? She was practically raised by them.

Appearance

Unlike most nocturnal elves, Korali’s skin is almost cream in color. This is either indicative of some sort of skin mutation common for nocturnal elves, or something she inherited from her tundra elven mother who had the same color skin. Her other features were common among her kind; ebony hair that seemed to keep an unkept quality to them kept at mid-chest length and ruby eyes that seemed to glow with an iridescent shine when light reflected off of them. As far as her body goes, like most elves in general, small and lithe, her own height reaching a 5’2.

As far as apparel went, she wore furs and leathers appropriate for the colder climate, usually preferring the darker colors. Jewelry wise, she has jeweled earrings, matching the color of her eyes - these were given as a coming of age gift from her mother before she died.

Skills and Abilities

Night Vision: Like most nocturnal elves, she has excellent eyes made for seeing in the dark.

Metaturnality: Bonus! Not only can she see quite well in the dark, but she is able to see quite well during the day too. Since she was born overground, she doesn’t suffer under the harsh sun quite as much as others of her kind who strictly live underground.

Clairsentience: A skill that has been helpful in identifying the composition of metals and minerals. Funny enough, this also allows her to be very intune with the earth, detecting tremors before the earth shakes or even the rumbles of a volcano about to erupt.

Enhanced senses: In particular, the kind that allows her to detect noxious fumes and other toxic gasses. This is the main reason she was put to work in the mines and thus dubbed “Little Canary”.

Shadowmancy: A natural affinity for it. Though at first the extent of her knowledge was just at the adept level, speaking the language of the shadows. It was how she made friends with the shadowkin that follows her!

Minor Illusions: Another affinity she has is for minor illusions. For now, she just uses it as a way to entertain herself. Nothing too big. Though with training, she could become stronger.

Personality

Korali isn’t the brightest thing in the world. She can be a bit clueless at times. Part of this could be due to her shadowkin friend keeping her in the dark (heh heh). Overall, she does have a sweet disposition, violence usually the last thing that comes to mind in order to solve a problem. Perhaps this is because she saw too much violence while growing up? She also tends to be quiet, keeping to herself unless curiosity gets the better of her.
