Kor
Kor is a human currently training to become a Dreadlord within Vel Anir's Academy. Blind and introverted since birth, he manifested magical talent in his youth by connecting with the birds he helped care for in the aviary he was raised in. Through their eyes, he can see what his own cannot. As such, he tends to consider the birds he keeps his only true companions.
Sent to the Academy by the family whose doorstep he was left on as soon as he was old enough, Kor has grown into an enigmatic, no-nonsense young Initiate who keeps to himself with a few exceptions. Despite his lack of social prowess, he has proven to be quite competent for an Initiate with a malady such as blindness, as well as a prodigious talent in survival situations.
Appearance
Kor is a pale-skinned man with long, dreadlocked brown hair running down the length of his back. As opposed to traditional wear for Dreadlords and Initiates, Kor much prefers lighter, often primitive clothing made from his own hand, with materials gathered during his hunts.
Kor's eyes are a milky white, without an iris or pupils that can be seen. When connected to his birds, his eyes emit a soft white glow that is rarely noticeable unless done in darkness. There are numerous chicken-scratch-like markings on his face, done by himself as some sort of self-expression.

Skills and Abilities
Kor's primary talent is the ability to connect and see through the eyes of animals, usually birds, although other types of creatures are also viable with added difficulty. Not only does this connection grant him sight, but he also gains a level of influence over said creature, allowing him to direct its behavior to an extent.
Kor possesses a great level of skill with knives and short blades and is also a talented bowman when using the eyes of a creature as a reference to aim with. In addition, he is an extremely talented survivalist, with instincts far beyond that or an ordinary person when it comes to hunting, crafting, sheltering and cooking. Oftentimes he will spend slow periods during missions going hunting or building tools that may help the mission in the future. Because of this, Kor is an optimal choice for long-term assignments.

Personality
Kor is quiet, stoic, and confident. Though not mute, he tends to speak only when he deems it necessary. His upbringing in a foster family that saw him as more free labor than anything else meant a lack of affection and care during his early years. Ironically, it was this lack of care that led him to awaken his magical talents, as he spent almost all of his time in the family's aviary, tending as best he could to the birds they owned.
Towards his peers, Kor is not unkind, but rather unaffected by them. There are those he enjoys the presence of, and those he would rather avoid, but he doesn't allow such petty feuds to get in the way of his work. As long as he's given permission to return to Vel Numera and tend to the Aviary on occasion, he's perfectly content to serve the Dreadlords and does feel a sort of kinship with his classmates, considering them a flock in their own right.
