Appearance

Khasmina's skin has become very pale as a result of her dabbling in the dark arts. While she appears sickly or gaunt to most observers, her proud stance and gait reveal an air of nobility.

Skills and Abilities

Her background as a noblewoman has given Khasmina a silver (but often sharp) tongue and an inherent perspective into political intrigue. She cares very little for the latter except as a vehicle to damage her family's name.

The Grimoire of Blood: An unholy occult volume that allows the one bonded to it to cast a variety of spells based on blood magic. (Specific spells still WIP). The cost of using this tome is the bearer's blood, which the book seems to drink directly when it is not dripped onto its pages. While another's blood can be used, the book seems very picky about whose essence is acceptable.

As a magically-bound tome, it cannot be destroyed by normal means nor separated from its owner by normal means.

Personality

Vengeful, disdainful of high society as a whole, power-hungry and ruthless

She believes she is haunted by the spirit of her dead twin sister. She may just be crazy... She may not be wrong...

Biography & Lore

The Zvonimir family is a wealthy and powerful noble house among the many duchies in the Valen Wilds. They received their land and rank for a past military service to an even more powerful house, and continually prove ruthless both in fostering their reputation among their peers and teaching their descendents to do the same.

Raised among the politics and rivalries inherent to nobility, Khasmina received the best teachers, the best education, the best of everything - except a moral compass. Her house still clings to an old opinion on the roles of a woman, and Khasmina was no exception to the often cruel lessons on social etiquette, 'feminine' skills, and maintaining external aesthetics to one day marry into another rich family. She accepted this fate with a stoic and graceful coldness until the night she lost the only person that gave her life any warmth or joy - her twin sister Maevina.

Khasmina was convinced that it was their brother and first in line for the head of their house, Andric, who murdered her beloved sister. Over the next few years the tragedy honed her secret hobby of necromancy into an art, then an obsession. She left her family estate with the goal of avenging her sister's death by ruining her family's prestige (particularly Andric's), all the while chasing one of the Holy Grails of necromancy - to revive the dead.

To this end, she is trying to collect a set of three occult books that, according to myth, when placed together grant their owner the ability to resurrect the dead. (What they actually do is a matter of much speculation). The books are the Grimoire of Blood, the Grimoire of Flesh and Bone, and the Grimoire of Souls. Each allows the person it is bound to a list of spells pertaining to their area of expertise. (Khasmina currently only holds the Grimoire of Blood)
