Kaveh
“They child is broken, Delara.”
“No, he’s just…no, he’ll get better, it will get better.”
“He destroyed the Great Hall! Statues a thousand years old were torn apart! Swords my fathers used in conquest were shattered! A man died! He’s dangerous, Delara. I know how it pains you, I know it hurts, but…there is something broken within our son.”
“Vahid, no…no he’ll be better. He’ll get better.”
-Conversation between the King and Queen of Thanasis
Rayvath
A massive, and perhaps the largest Dragon alive in Thanasis, Rayvath is the likely the only reason that Kaveh still lives.
The great Dragon is an oddly calming force upon Kaveh. When she is around he is far more rational, collected, and calm. Without her the rage which simmers in the young Prince tends to bubble over almost constantly. Unlike many of her kind Rayvath seems almost gentle. Despite her size she acts calmly even in the face of great danger or threat.
Though this may stem from the Dragon's sheer size, others think that there might be a different reason for Rayvath's calm.
Some theorize this is due to the age that Kaveh and his Dragon bonded. More than one tutor having observed the two bond-mates in close proximity and afar. They seem to effect one another to a great degree, and it is Rayvath's presence that often imparts just enough calm into Kaveh to allow him to function within Thanasis' Courts.
Despite this rather calm nature, it is foolish to think that Rayvath is not capable of great destruction. She is a Red Dragon, by breed and comes from a great Draconic lineage. It is said that her forefathers burned the endless fleets of Amun'Sul, and her progenitor flew by the side of the Dragon Goddess Luthalarix.
