A former witch cursed by the slavemasters of Ashcroft as punishment. She now serves among House Valbreck's slave-legions: Manmade werewolves forced to endure grueling battles from which her owners profit.

Kaelis was a large and imposing woman even before lycanthropy, taking after her father who was himself a tribal warrior. The broad shoulders of a bowman, strong arms from hefting deer up the mountain and limbs built for persistence hunting, hers was an amazonian form that had always clashed with the young witch's silken hair and freckled skin.

Skin since marred by lashing scars and slaver's runes used to control her.

⨮ - WARFORM
Kaelis was capable of entering a "Warform", either at will or forcibly by her masters, transforming into a towering wolf-like beast of immense strength, speed and agility. She would rend foes with long dagger-like claws, crush bone with powerful jaws, and even wield enormous weapons with supernatural strength. The Warform's hide was gifted further with rapid healing and clotting to seal wounds and knit flesh together, save those inflicted by silver, which healed quite slowly.


Though incapable of spellcasting in this form, Kaelis' could utilize complex rune magic prepared in advance, or simple sigils carved by claw.

⨴ - MOONBOUND
Though capable of transforming at will with her awareness intact, Kaelis could be forcibly transformed transformed by a Full Moon, reducing her to an animalistic state of mind once in month, at which time she was typically restrained. A Blood Moon would send her into a killing frenzy without rhyme or reason, her only instinct being to destroy all living things in sight, having to be muzzled and chained behind reinforced walls. The Fear of Death and sudden Injuries or Extrem Pain also risked involuntary transformation, as could reliving frightening experiences, all of which could posed threat of starting a frenzy that was difficult to snap out of.

No matter the case, each transformation was painful and ghastly, sharpening emotions and canine instinct. Wounds inflicted with silver caused great pain and could even force the beast back into Human form with persistence, but so too could setting her fur aflame if not snuffed out quickly.

⨮ - FORMER WITCH
Prior to the curse, Kaelis was a witch of the Cyn family, trained by her mother in the arts of herbalism, rune magic, and basic spellcasting. Though only an apprentice, she had an understandin earthen witchcraft and dark sorcery. Even now she crafts runic charms and arrows to increase her odds of survival on the brutal killing fields of House Valbreck's mercenary contracts.

⨴ - RUNEBOUND
The Cyn family may have been powerful witches, but Kaelis was stunted by the Slavemaster's runes used to control her Lycanthropy. Higher magic came slowly to her, doubly so in Warform which rendered acts of sorcery all but impossible. She was often limited to rune magic, which she could prepare in advance with greater complexity than transformed, which left her with only basic sigils carved by claw.

Kaelis Cyn was, above all else, a family woman. She loved her little sister and was loyal to her mother. Prior to her transformation, she was often the family, bringing back meats and herbs for her mother's craft even when they didn't see eye to eye.

Lycanthropy changed everything, dragging her rebellious thoughts to the surface and crushing them underfoot. The "gentle giant" of the family became a violent weapon out of necessity, holding onto the faint hope that one day she might claw her way to freedom and return to her family. Biding her time in search of escape, Kaelis has learned to say little and listen to everything, wielding both cunning and strength to fool her enemies and secure the advantage both on and off the battlefield. Crafting runic tools and trinkets had become a favorite pastime of hers, such as charms of protection or complicated bows suited to the pysique of her kind.

Beneath all this however is a soft feminine side indulged in secret whenever possible, be it the protectiveness of an eldest sister or the tenderness of a maiden yearning to live true to herself. She put flowers in her fur, wore tattered skirts on the battlefield, anything to reclaim the life stolen from her. No matter how small.
