J'rell's Theme

J'rell was trapped longer than most.

He has served his regent through untold ages, always following, his soul kept on the earth through stone, magic and flesh - so long that he nearly forgets his purpose.

Guarding her tomb deep within the Ixchel Wilds as a spirit bound to the stone there, after forming a last stand, he has been trapped with its mouldering corpses for centuries -- perhaps millenia. So long that he has nearly forgotten his old name, given way to madness and time. He doesn't know.

All he knows is that someone, eventually, found him. Someone who thought him a god, and gave himself as a sacrifice, so that he might inhabit flesh again. The young man called himself J'rell and went through a willing possession for his spirit.

After aeons as a disembodied spirit, now, he wears flesh again. A body that does not belong to him. Wracked with guilt, J'rell has adopted the name of the one who sacrificed himself for him and freed him, wandering the world to find some remnant of the past he once protected.
