* Usually wears a doublet, trousers, and knee-length overcoat of dark earthen colors. Wears an ornate kaftan and sash for more formal occasions.
* Not a fighter, so typically unarmed; unskilled even if he has acquired a weapon.

Polyglot: Jelal's foremost skill is his fluency in many languages, and his ability to learn new languages quickly. He leverages this in a number of capacities between parties which may otherwise have difficulty communicating—primarily in the wider slave trade across Arethil.
Speechcraft: Talking is Jelal's business, and through much practice has he honed the subtle arts of the wordsmith, the rhetorician, the persuader. Using the register of speech best suited for his interlocutor, from the blunt and the streetwise to the eloquence of the silver-tongued, Jelal has his ways of convincing those who might lend him an ear.
Composure: Despite not being a warrior, Jelal has garnered a reputation for nerves of steel, suited for harrowing situations.
Personality and Characteristics
Major
* Logical. In nearly all cases will give precedence to reason and rationality over emotion; often outwardly impassive in this regard.
