Shin had a regular childhood in Vel Anir, born to a moderately prosperous merchant family. This, however, was changed when his mother and father were hunted and killed by criminals who felt as if Shin's mother and father were stifling business for underground channels. Upon their death, Shin mourned for 7 days and 7 nights, as is customary within family tradition. Upon the mourning period ending, Shin was evicted, as there was no longer any way to pay for the property. He then discovered that his long-dead grandparents were members of a secretive organization named the League of Demon Sealers when cleaning out the attic of his now vacated home. The League was now gone for unknown reasons, and upon Shin's discovery of the Demon Sealers book, he became its final member. Shin had latent talent in magic manipulation, and through personal training, was able to master basic hexes. In preparation for life as a mercenary with no home, he learned the ways of the glaive and a secret martial art that an old hermit had taught him when his parents were still alive, in return for his parents showing him goodwill and feeding him. Shin already had a craving for a homeless, exciting life, and his freedom began in the long, winding streets of Vel Anir. He came to be a notorious criminal hunter and mercenary. Shin's goals are to hunt his parent's killers down, as well as discover the secrets behind the League of Demon Sealers.
