Born to poor farmers from the small village of Aswick, which was located in between Amol-Kalit and Elbion. Jack was raised by a drunkard father and a hard working mother. He was the youngest of two older brothers, who he was constantly getting in fights with, hence his developed skill at winning fights by any means necessary. He also had a younger sister who he was very protective of. As he reached the age of 12, he fell in with the wrong crowd and began stealing with a gang of young adults and teens, usually delaying a home owner or a target while the gang carried out the robbery or pick-pocketing, this helped create his natural charm, as in a village of 200 people it's hard to not have to steal from the same person twice. The gang realized this and when Jack was 19 they headed to Elbion and resumed their thieving there when Jack was 29 and the right hand man of the now large gang of thieves, they were betrayed by an informant within their organization. During one of their monthly meetings a few dozen soldiers raided the building and arrested or killed anyone they could get their hands on. Through a mix of luck and raw skill, Jack managed to evade them and escape into the night. For the rest of his life until this point Jack had traveled the world in search of money, finding a reason to be anywhere and doing anything for work.
