BRIGHTMANE
Iren Brightmane is an accomplished necromancer who specializes in thaumaturgy, the perverted arts of blood magic. It is told that he was born under a blood moon and that his skin was so pale his parents believed him born dead. This is most likely rather exaggerated, but Iren finds it amusing and as such allows such rumors to persist.
Appearance
Iren resembles a perfectly preserved corpse that somehow moves and breathes. Pale skin, white hair, lanky. His eyes are the only set of contrasting color among the black and white hues. Their shade differs from sickly yellow when hungry and deep blood purple when overfed.
Skills and Abilities
- Allegiance of Legion
- Has gained the fealty of a band of vampire hunters called the Bloodletters. Their numbers range from as little as two to as many as twelve. Each is a thrall that regularly consumes Iren's blood to magnify their strength and in return at least one of them hangs around Iren's surroundings to serve as a portable blood bag. Such is the exchange of services they have agreed to. Iren has sworn not to force-feed on the innocent and to give them the power to fight those like him... as long as they never set their sights on him.
- Vampiric
- Craves blood, magnified physical attributes, sunshine gets him down. Because he is a vampire it is also difficult to gauge just how old he really is. He seems too old to be a youngster, but too young to truly be considered wizened. His accent and word usage suggests he is definitely older than he looks however.
- Magic
- Can use his own blood and the blood of others for rituals and magical spells. Most of his magic cannot be done off the cuff however and needs proper preparation time. Iren is capable of preparing things in advance however if he has a general idea of what he might be up to. If the vampire knows he will be going into a zombie-infested keep, he can prepare special enchantments that release their hold on unlife for instance.
Personality
Brash, boisterous and bold. Is led by his cravings, but frustratingly enough cannot partake in all of them... so has to find different substitutes to compensate.
