House Belavyor is one of the 13 Great Houses of Thanasis. And the breeder of Sea Serpents. The house is ruthless when it comes to the navy, perhaps teetering on the edge of Piracy beyond Thanasis borders, but surprisingly cosmopolitan and academic when it comes to the rest of their society. They are big supporters of universities and the arts. They readily accept any who bond with one of their sea serpents and are more progressive than other houses when it comes to dragons bonding with those beyond noble blood.

Due to their presence with the navy, they hold a large sway within the kingdom of Thanasis. Details about the size and nature of Belavyor’s underwater cities are hard to come by. Those of the house and those who attend the University are quite tight lipped. Due to the secrecy and military might, some fear the House will eventually stage a coup.

Luana Reef

The main underwater city of Thanasis. This is where the noble residence of House Belavyor reside. The city is protected by its depths beneath the seas, unaffected by any storms that wash across the surface waters. Structures are built within the natural rocks and coral features with air-filled passageways between them.

The Sea Serpents granted House Belavyor and its residence a magical, clear substance that frames all windows and passageways, keeping the water out but allowing dragons and people to pass through to oxygen-filled spaces unhindered and often dry.

There are rumors to be tunnels, secret and ancient passageways, that connect Luana Reef to the Lake Beneath the Mountains. Only the Sea Serpents know the way and can survive the treacherous and winding aquifer system.

Aquatic Museum

A prestigious museum of artifacts, art, sculptures, and findings from ancient shipwrecks across the world's multiple oceans and seas. Includes art from local Thanasis creatives.

University of the Domes

Some say it to be the highest sought after University in all of Thanasis. It is very difficult to get in with only a few scholarships. Most of the royals and noble families attend classes and lectures at some point in their lives here.

Navy Training Center
House Belavyor supplies the impressive navy to Thanasis, protecting the kingdom’s borders from the seas and often going inland. The navy training center sits above and just below the surface waters connecting to the Outer City.

Water dragons cared for and bread by House Belavyor. These creatures are usually seen as more playful than their other dragon brethren but can be just as deadly and fierce during battles. They are strongest in or over the water but can fight and fly over land as well. They have more serpentine bodies with four clawed feet and no wings. Some even have magic to control the weather, though it is rare. Almost all can control the water in their favor, for example, make waves or swirl the water with the movement of their bodies to create water spouts. They can also create deadly whirlpools to drown and bring down ships. While they thrive in the water, they must come up for air every 6 hours.

Some even sport a deadly poison in their claws.
